  1. Congratulations Amy! Have a wonderful time. We'll look forward to hearing from you on your return.
  2. I love your travel brochure - my favorite so far. Do you have a template? Thanks for posting so many pics. You were beautiful and looks like all turned out so well.
  3. Everything looks so good. I keep coming back to your planning thread and review for inspiration. Thanks!
  4. 2 years of planning really benefited the rest of us. Thanks for all the details and pictures.
  5. Amazing job. Thank you so much for all the templates!!! I hit the jackpot with your planning thread.

I don't wanna be stuck with a time I don't want. Thanks for any advice that you can share! Welcome SaraMexicoBride! I don't think it is too early to start thinking about booking. If you know that you want it there and if you are partial to a date (especially a weekend), you should just get the date and time you want now. You can put a deposit down for the wedding only and look for deals on travel and rooms later. From what I have seen, prices only go up when it comes to wedding and reception related stuff. You can always get your deposit back up until 6 months before the wedding. If you book now you will probably get/be able to negotiate with the 2010 prices but later you will probably have to use only what is in the 2011 wedding guide. I wonder what makes your TA think that prices will go down?

It was really nice seeing everyone when they arrived because they were so excited to finally be in paradise! It was awesome seeing everyone's reaction as they walked through the doors of the resort. That is such a great idea!! And it makes the OOT bag so much more personal and gift-like. Thanks, consider that an idea stolen.
  8. WOW!!! Your pics look incredible. Seriously, you look like a professional model. FH is a very lucky guy.
  9. Hi girls! Oceanwonderland posed this question on the original DT thread, but since your dates are coming up I thought I would mention it here too. Are any of you going to try and use the $20 menu option that was available in the past to brides? If so, will you PLEASE come back and post so that we know if it is something that future brides might have a glimmering hope of pushing for themselves? Thanks!

I am not sure about the answer to question #1. 2- My understanding is that you have your choice of which band you want to use and they will play one set (I think a set is 45min). Also I don't think you are limited to using them during the cocktail hour, that is just when most brides use them. 3- This is the answer I got from Aurora: Those shows are subject availability as follow: Mexican Party on Tuesdays Caribbean Party on Fridays Fire Dancers on Saturdays and from Anabel: Our activities change but usually Tuesday is the Mexican Party, Friday the Caribbean party and Fire Dancers are Saturdays but this is subject to changes.

I will keep asking this question until it is answered My wedding group is already 70 people so the meal costs are very significant. I won't have 70 people, but will definitely have over the 20 that are included with any of the packages so the $20 option would be really helpful to me too. Hopefully someone is able to take advantage of that and let's us know!

I am doing the free package option and paying the additional site fee for our reception. Aurora has told us that the white tablecloths are "free" up to 20 guests, and then $18 per table...same for the napkins. I am pushing back, but there has been a lot of back and fourth. Hopefully the white options will stay free and my only charge will be the $150 setup fee. To have an orchid in a vase, I was quoted $30 per stem. Anyhow, I'm working on other options...just wanted to let y'all know. tt Tara I think that this is the first time anyone will be charged for the white tablecloths and napkins unless other brides just haven't mentioned it before. Do you think it is b/c you are using the free option? That could add several hundred dollars to some of our tabs. Aurora definitely does not seem to want to give any freebies away but it seems like white should be free. Please keep us updated on what you end up working out.

Welcome and congrats on booking your date!!! I will be marrying in Nov., but at the beginning of the month. Nice to find other Nov. brides
  15. Hi Amy My wedding isn't until Nov. I am also wanting to go as stress free as possible, but I also want to keep costs down and think it may get pretty pricey to do flower arrangements on each table (I'll probably have 6 tables and knowing myself I will like the centerpieces that are $95 each) so I am trying to come up with an alternative that still looks great. I heard it can be pretty breezy by the pools for the reception so petals may be gone as soon as they are put out. I am not very crafty so I am a little hesitant to try any DIY projects since that will be focal point for each table. Let me know which centerpiece you choose and what the resort charges if you don't mind. Knowing that the $45 option looks great would be a load off.
  16. Hi Girls! I am not marrying in May but I am a Dreams Tulum bride. I have been snooping through this thread to see what plans you all have. I am so excited that your dates are coming up soon. I hope that you will all post reviews with pictures. I have seen a few of you mention you are working on centerpiece ideas. Anyone come up with anything yet? I am so stuck in this area.
