I have seen something similar to this in Chicago. They called it the No Chip Manicure. I havent tried it yet but I wonder if it is the same thing as the OPI but they are just calling it something different.

I would do some simple earrings, no necklace. The dress is very elegant and you dont wont to take away from the dress. I would do a birdcage veil. As the other posters stated suggest that they sew in bra cups directly onto your dress.

That is a cute idea! Maybe you can contact one of the local cordinators on the island and they can direct you on that one. I am sure someone local can make you a wagon.

My daughter went to the same daycare as his neice. His twin brother's daughter. Actually my daughter and his neice are BFF's they are 6 and 7 and have known each other since they were 2. Well one day his sister in law called me and she wanted us to met ( I had already met him at one of his neice's b-day parties) and like talk on a more friendly note. That girl was on my phone for about one hour trying to convince me that he was a good guy and give him a try. The following day she arranged a trip to the beach for us to bring the kids and she had him come up there. So I couldnt avoid him. Actually I am soo HAPPY I met him he is my ANGEL! (Beyonce song) We had really good conversation that day and we just connected. We have been inseparable ever since.

I agree you have to pick and choose your battles wisely. I am in the same boat as you but my MIL has not been that controlling. She just told me that all brides in Jamaica have to have antheriums in their bouquet and in their decorations. I kindly told her ok but I am a roses girl and I will carry roses but maybe find another place for those flowers she wants. She also made a big deal about the traditional Jamaican cake. She offered to buy us one because we just have to have it our weding. I suggested maybe we have one layer of the cake be traditional or maybe do a grooms cake. That was satisfying to her. But I am sure this is just the beginning so take a deep breath and try to have some fun planning YOUR wedding. As for the other guests she wants to invite suggest she help you guys pay for it or maybe move your ceremony and reception to an offsite location. That is what we are doing. Your wedding is a big deal to your MIL she has to make sure everything looks proper so she wont look bad in front of her family in friends.

I love the program fan idea. I have been searching the web trying to find out where to order the fan programs. It seems like it would be a simple DIY project to take on. The site I found fans with programs attached to them was like $6/each.
