Welcome to the board. I recently joined as well, and Dreams is on my list of possible wedding destinations in the Mayan. I'll be checking out the resorts in April, and will be posting my findings when I return. Good Luck with your planning!

Thanks so much for the warm welcome! I know I will find all my answers on this forum. After I check out Mexico in April, I will give you all the info I find from visiting a few of the resorts. I'm sure I will have then picked "the one" when I come back. P.S., glad to see I am not alone in being completely overwhelmed by the amount of fantastic resort choices. It's pretty tough when they are all ranked 9-10/10.

Hi everyone! My BF and I have recently decided to get married in Mexico next year, and I'm looking for some guidance, as I'm all over the map. We decided on May 2011, and somewhere in the Mayan Riviera. My sister got married almost 2 years ago at the Barcelo Maya Beach, and it was very lovely. I would like to use a different resort for mine, and the number of guests we will most likely have will be about 50-80, including some kids. I'm leaning towards Dreams, Riu, and Grand Princess resorts. Any suggestions would help me so much in narrowing down a resort. We are planning on checking out a resort in a few months, and I am having a hard time in deciding which group of resorts to go with. My BF is leaning towards Dreams Tulum, for the chapel, and I am looking for a swim up bar, many restaurant selections, and a large enough place to handle a large group privately. Also, I would like the option to bring in a photographer, and not use the resort's photographer. I'm sorry this is still pretty vague. I'm sure my requirements will become more specific as I check out some more threads. Thanks for your help!!!
