Has anyone registered for gifts? The reason we were not going to do it is because we don't want our guest to get us a gift if they are paying to join us at our destination wedding. But there are quite a few that can't make it and still want to give us a gift. what do you think? what did you do?

I was told by someone that it would be cheaper to upgrade my room when I arrive rather then doing it threw my travel agent.. What did everyone else do?

How long did it take to get a confirmation after sending the deposit?

I am getting married in Oct. And yes I understand it is a long time away. But I feel this may become a problem in the future. When I talk to people about booking everyone wants to wait last min. People think off season nothing will get sold out. But I already know that with destination weddings getting increasingly popular there was only two days in my week with ceremonies not already booked... Also, My travel company is offering me 2 free seats for every 16 people booked. If everyone books on there own I will be screwed out of this deal. What did you ladies do?? Thanks Melissa

I am looking for pictures of the reception options at dreams palm beach. It is hard to decide when you don't know what it looks like... If you respond that you can find them on here.. please tell me how. (i have tried to find pics specifically for that hotel but i can't seem to figure out how. I apologize I'm new Thanks!!! Melissa

Can you have your reception on a terrace like at dreams punta cana? Will they allow you to decorate the ceremony and reception yourself? Thanks for your help ladies!!

Sorry one more question. Are you inviting the pastor to eat with you after the ceremony? I was not sure what the protocol is for destination weddings. Thanks again!! Melissa

Anyone have menu/etras price list for Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana? I am trying to work everything out and see if Dreams Palm Beach or Grand Bahia would be a better choice.. If anyone has an opinion to add about the hotel choice please let me know.. Thanks!! Melissa

I am losing my mind with this early booking bonus crap... For a week in Oct. for Dreams Palm Beach if payed in full by march 10th will be $1362.25 after that it goes up to $1662.25!! What do I do? How do I tell people there is a whooper of a price hike if they can't shell out by March? Do you think it will go down again if I wait for a different promotion?
