I too checked Tripadvisor. But when checking these reviews you also have to understand that every body can have a different experience and have different expectations. So I took all the information I recieve with a grain of salt so to speak. And I will have to form an opinion on my own.

Wow sunstarsmoon, you have done so much. I need to get going... I have only booked the hotel. I will be booking a photographer once I narrow it down, hopefully by next month. I feel so far behind.

This is a great idea....but do you really want to travel with extras? I'm trying to limit what I have to bring. I think I'm going to even puchase my welcome bag goodies in Jamaica.

Welcome Cassandrandersen! Congrats on booking -- choosing a location seems to be the hardest part. Were you already able to book your air travels?

I have only recently discovered Exercisetv, and I love it. It is a great way for me to get in a morning work out. So far I have done the 30 day shred. And another I think the trainers name was Jackie... I'm going to try out the others. Are there any that you recommend?

I haven't heard of Jans either. But I too am a bit skeptic about sending money through western union for a business transaction to any country not just Jamaica. Can you use any other method of payment that may be safer for you and your money?

Montego Bay, Jamaica was my mother's hometown. She love being there. I also consider it a second home. My mom passed away last year...and it just feels right to have my wedding there.

Hi All! I just booked my resort .... finally after much research and investigation on this site. Now it's like I don't know what I should be doing or doing first. Yikes!!!! I won't be doing save the dates until we start booking with a TA and the prices wont be available till some time at the end of May I was told. So the STD's are on hold for now.

Hello and welcome! I too feel that the budget of a DW is more manageable that one at home especially when that home in NYC. Do you have any destinations in mind yet? You will find a whole lot of information here. So happy planning.

Good luck Island Bride. I have my fingers crossed for you finding something this weekend. Would you consider wearing just a regular dress in the worse case scenario. I have seen a lot of brides do that on this forum with a regular white dress. Maybe from Victoria Secrets. Just an idea.

So I have reserved my resort. 1 step in the right direction. I'm so excited!!!! But now what do I do? STD? I still need a TA? I need to breathe.....
