I am getting married at Cancun Palace in about a month, and I was hoping someone on this thread might be able to tell me their thoughts on tipping or how they did it? I have reviewed multiple forums just on the topic, but responses for all inclusive resorts that have a complimentary wedding package were limited. I was hoping some of you would be willing to share your experience! Thanks!

I'm getting married at Cancun Palace 2011, but watching your thread to try and stay on top of palace resorts info. Since it sounds like Alison 15 has been to the palace resorts before, I was wondering if you could tell me how they do the kids drinks in the room and on resort grounds? Are they juice boxes or plastic bottles or cans (juice or pop)? I will have a 7 and a 9 year-old with, and I was thinking of doing something fun for them to put their drinks in, too. I have a couple of kids water bottles I've been looking at, but if they get cans, I started thinking koozies might be fun for them, too.

Congratulations! From what I've read it is very common for the actual resort WC to be slow in responding. Many posts I've read suggest that they don't get a good response until one month before the wedding, and some even talk about struggling until they get there. I'd suggest use the search under forums for your resort and reviews. I also really liked the thread on What I would and wouldn't do again. Best wishes and happy planning!

I don't know your resort, but definitely understand the excitement of setting a date. I'm also a Feb 2011 bride, and this site has been amazing! One of the threads I read from start to finish was 'What I would and wouldn't do again'. I also talked to multiple TA's and ended up going with one from the TA banner on top, because she was very helpful and her prices came back lower than others or she would match them. Good luck!

Congratulations on your engagement! I actually got so stressed out by the grumblings that I just quit looking and planning anything. Somehow, it has all turned back around and I'm back to being excited. You've picked what looks like an amazing place for everyone, and with your plans to help gets those there that you really want there ~ I think you're right on track! Hopefully, once they accept it, they will get excited with you!

I promise I will read through, but I have more work than I know what to do with today. I can't seem to quit thinking about it though, so I'm going to try asking in case someone can guide me to the right page or thread. I am looking for more details on the complimentary package. I've seen reference to different flowers that can be picked from than those in the pictures on the palace wedding site, but I haven't been able to figure out if that is just for the upper packages or if there are more options for the complimentary package as well. I have to say thank you to Pitt2011 because I've been looking at the site your pics came from since seeing them! I'm a Feb 2011 bride at Cancun Palace. I've been ridiculously busy at work, so I haven't been looking at the little things for awhile, but it is coming up fast and it is definitely time to start figuring some of this out.

Congratulations! I don't have any info for you, but I found contacting the resort directly actually worked for me. I'm getting married at a different resort, but it might be worth contacting their wedding dept and asking for pics. Good luck!

Congrats to the MOB! One thread that I really found intersting and helpful was 'What I would and wouldn't do again'. That might be one you could read through for her and give suggestions from. It is pretty long and I read it from start to finish, but found it worth it.
