Questions for those who are already married.... Â 1. I went to Sams yesterday to look at the Bose i-pod docking system and I turned it up as loud as it would go and I have some concerns about the sound carrying through the reception area at the Sunset Grill. Have any of you ladies used this option? Was it loud enough? What did you do? Â 2. Was the cake good? I've seen the pictures of the cake they provide and they don't look very pretty, but how do they taste?

I completely agree with Aisha. We both have very large families and we are expecting around 100 guests because we are doing the free wedding package at Dreams La Romana and a reception at the Seaside Grill, which covers 60 people. We have to pay additional for the 40 over that, but that's all our budget allows for. Our guest have been WARNED that they either have a plus 1 or they don't. My Fiance's sisters were told that if they did not have a partner 6 months prior to the wedding, then they were not allowed a +1. Â We are not paying for their trip down there but we are paying for their meals and the bar service on the night of the ceremony. They know at this point that I mean business. Also, I have already explained that their guests or friends can come with them to enjoy the trip but they are not coming to the reception or ceremony, since I have to rent chairs for that as well. If they insist on their person being invited to the ceremony and reception, I have also let them know that they will be paying for that person. It will be $50 for that person to attend - that covers the cost of the reception and the cost of renting a chair. Â Harsh, yes, but it keeps us on budget since we're paying for this ourselves too. I fell in love with the neckline and the bottom of the dress. I picked 2034 because I wanted to be able to "get down with my bad self" and 2117 wouldn't allow me to do that because it's so heavy. Â I'm feeling a little better about choosing 2034 I just needed some reassurance that I picked the right one.

Thanks ladies. I too like the neckline on the second dress and the sash on the first. I'm feeling better about choosing 2034 after reading your reviews. I'm not changing for the reception and the dress needs to be one where I can "get down with my bad self," and I think 2034 is perfect for that. It's also a MAJOR plus that 2034 brought me in under budget. I think I'll just lower the neckline a bit. Otherwise, the dress needed absolutely NO alterations needed - also brings me under budget.

Hey Soror Quintina, Â My fiance and I are both members of greek organizations. We are planning on including both of our traditions. I am really looking forward to being serenaded by both organizations. This part of the reception will not take up too much time and I think it really adds something for your organizational members as they get a chance to feel apart of your big day.

Uninspired, Â Yes, I've heard the quality of the Bose system. Even on volume 10, it is loud enough to fill an entire lounge area. There have been other brides who have used the Bose docking system and were happy with their results. We are having our reception at the Seaside Grill on the deck, where most girls have theirs, and they had good things to say about it. Â I think if you're nice and you have a few guests with you, the WCs will allow you to use their speakers if your system isn't loud enough. Many girls have posted that tips really go far when trying to get extras for free.

Just like Jen1407 stated above, I am going to use my bridesmaid bouquets and the centerpieces. The resort is charging me $75/centerpiece and the same for the bouquet, so I am splitting the baby and their going to serve double duty. So, here are the bouquet ideas I'm planning on using and then transferring them into the centerpiece vases. The crystals on the sticks will be pearls instead and the fabric color will actually be a charcoal color. Our colors are eggplant, charcoal (dark gray), and cream. Sorry if the pictures are large.

I think they are beautiful and the size should not be an issue. It looks like a normal sized bouquet to me! Good luck!

So, I went to Alfred Angelo's today to try on a dress that I love, 2117. Then, my mothers convinced me that 2034 was the better option for me and that's the one I went with. I'm feeling a little uneasy about my decision. Ladies, please help me. The first dress is 2034 and the second is 2117. The last dress will be the bridesmaid dress but my girls will be wearing eggplant or smoke.

We've decided on using a Bose ipod docking station because we wanted one anyway and this just forces us to purchase it sooner. That way, we feel a little better about spending $250 on music. At least we get to keep the Bose system and we make sure the music is played how we want it and in the order it needs to be.

Ladies, I just went dress shopping and put a deposit down on a dress but now I'm having second thoughts about it. I went with the dress I purchased because my moms said it looked better for my body, personality, and location of the wedding. It just seem a little plain to me and I really liked the second one. What's a girl to do?

Thanks. I will check them out too. I've been searching ways to lower the costs of the flowers. I also looked into a florist near the resort where we're getting married. I'm just waiting on their response now.

I like the idea of reusing the bridal bouquets. I am planning on having approximately 100 guests and 8 bridesmaids. So, reusing their bouquets to double as the centerpieces is a GREAT idea, especially since the resort is charging $75/centerpiece and $75/bouquet. That means that I would be paying half of their quote if I could just get them to transfer the flowers from the bouquet binding into the glass cylinders. Â Thanks Tissey for the idea!

You did a GREAT job and I do agree that it was $10 well spent if that's what you got out of it. How much was the card stock at JoAnn's? I've been looking for paper for my invitations.

Thanks Dana for the emails you sent me. I hope that we can work something out regarding the flowers and the cake. I don't seem to like anything that they've provided me regarding the "norm" for the flowers and cakes they provide.
