This is the issue that I was discussing. I rented the Seaside Grill and originally, Tiara told me that we would pick two entrees so that our guests had a choice between the two but now that Jenny has taken over, she said that we pick one entree and our guests eat what we choose. I need clarification on this because I need to make our menu cards since our wedding is in less than 53 days. -

Thanks Amurka! I actually got my shoes from Charlote Russe in the mall and they were a lot cheaper than the first two pair that I bought. I'm happy. Dana, I had to get heels since I'm 5'2 and my FH is 6'3. CONGRATS Dana! I'm so excited for you. My count down has offficially begun. Is anyone else having a hard time getting in touch with the WC? I'm still wondering about the menu and how it's going to work. -

Well ladies, I have done a lot of shoe shopping myself. I bought a pair of shoes from DSW but they were too big and then I bought a pair from nina.com and they were too small. I ended up with this pair ... -

Thanks Dana. The inside doesn't look so bad but the outside is definitely prettier. Does anyone know where I can find some inexpensive battery operated votive candles? Also, what size paper lanterns should I be getting to decorate the gazebo and how do I hang them at the Seaside Grill? -

Dana, can you please take a picture of the inside of the Seaside Grill? I want to know what it looks like in case we need to go inside for dancing or the rain. Also, can you please take a picture of your food and give a review of how it tastes? I'm so concerned that the food will be disgusting and the BBQ chicken will look like we're at a picnic. :-(. Congrats Dana on your upcoming nuptials. We have traveled this journey together and I'm happy to see yours come to a wonderful ending and the beginning of your new life with your husband. -

To all those still wondering about the photographer situation, I emailed Tiara today about me still being allowed to bring my own photographer with me since I've already paid for his trip as well as his servicves, and got a response from someone name Jenny and this is what she had to say: Dear Danielle, We understand there has been some confusion over our wedding photography policy so we wanted to provide some information on the recent change. Similar to many other wedding venues, we recently selected a new preferred vendor for our in-house photographer. Tropical Pictures is a reputable photography company that we trust will capture beautiful images of weddings and other photo sessions at our resort. Although there has been some speculation, this change does not impact a bride and groom’s ability to select an outside vendor for their wedding photography. Both local and foreign photographers are permitted to take photos on our property if hired by a bride and groom or their family. Additionally, there is no charge to bring an outside photographer on our property for the day to take photos of a wedding. We know that photography is an important part of any wedding day and want to be sure each bride and groom feels comfortable with their decision, regardless of who they select as a photography vendor. Our wedding coordinator will be happy to guide you through the process to make sure that you are making the right choice for your wedding day. We hope this information helps our future brides and grooms gain a better understanding of our policy regarding wedding photography Jenny Goicochea Wedding Planner / Gerente de Bodas Dreams La Romana Bayahibe, La Romana Dominican Republic Tel:(809)221-8880 Ext. 1983 [email protected] This means that we are allowed to bring whomever we wish to take our pictures but they are promoting this particular company. :-) I hope this helps everyone as much as it's helped me. -

Dana, I just received the menu as well. I'm confused with which choices to pick because my fiance and I don't eat red meat but I know we can't exclude it because so many of our guests do. So, that leaves us with the tuna steak or BBQ chicken with bone (which sounds to me like leg quarter with BBQ sauce on it). What is a girl to do? -
This is a little late but I've been really busy. I used purple envelopes for mailing, gray cardstock paper to make the holder for the boarding pass and I also used a lighter card stock paper for the boarding passes themselves. I downloaded most of the fonts for the invitation. I borrowed the language on the invitation for Pynklemonde, Misty, a member of the forum. It took a while to get these exactly how I wanted them and I also did them BY MYSELF!!! My bridesmaids suck right now!

OMG, I've missed so much. Congrats to all the recent brides. All the pictures look lovely. We're 5 months away and I can't seem to get Tiara to respond to my emails. It's been a month since I heard from her. I'm so frustrated. -

My daugther will be just shy of two and the only child too young for the kids club. Moon Palace does not have a babysitting service. I'm sure we'll find a solution and make it work. We're doing the same thing with our daughter. We're arriving on Wednesday and my parents aren't coming in until Friday, so she'll come with them and stay with them as well and then we'll all leave on Monday.

Our four year old daughter (five by the time of the wedding) will be traveling with us as well and some of our guests are bringing their children. I picked Dreams La Romana as our resort because they have a kids club and a teens club where the children can go during the day and have kid fun while the adults play and have adult fun. I would suggest looking into something like that at your resort or simply asking some of the guests to spend a few hours with her while you're handling your wedding business.

Thanks!
