Crista!!!! Congrats and welcome to the club. Being a mom is so amazing! Glad you are still moving forward with the wedding and the date. My only advice to you is to try and figure out a sleeping strategy at least for one week out. The first couple of months that little baby will be up every couple of hours to eat. You have to make sure that your fiance is helping. (You don't want to have those new mom bags under your eyes for photos.) I am not sure how much your parents are willing to help but if you don't plan to nurse, perhaps they can keep the baby for a night or two before the ceremony. Either way I am sure you will figure it out. But I am hear if you have any questions you want to ask about what to expect with a newborn. (My little booba James is 8 1/2 months old.) And I know this sounds crazy but hemmoroid (sp?) cream does wonders for under eye bags/circles.

A night out with amazing friends and no stresses, just relaxing and having a good time (and getting drunk! lol). the night wasn't without it's dramas but it was brilliant nevertheless. got back to my friends at about 4.30am and think we went to bed about 5.30am haha love it! pics are on my facebook for those who want to see (and still other people's pictures to come). sorry I'm at work now and am strapped for time to try and get them onto photobucket and then copy links etc etc (yep, I'm being lazy!! lol) the dress I ended up wearing was one I ordered after complaining to the company that sent me the wrong one. They gave me a full refund for the other dress, including my cost of next day delivery, and gave me 10% off the new dress I ordered and sent it next day delivery free of charge My BF (the one who pulled out of Mexico) turned up late she (and her mate) didn't even make it to the meal, and got to the club about 11pm. I should be bothered (everyone else there was) but I decided that if I did, it would only ruin my night and I didn't want anything to do that so I just accepted it and moved on, but the things are being stored in the back of my mind until after the wedding! I had my hair trial on Saturday too and I will upload the pics on here because I was soooo happy with it. now all I have to do is pray the stylists at the hotel can recreate it! good thing is, that hairstyle then also formed the basis for my hair for my hen night (my hairdresser just took the tiara out and let most of the curls out so I had a half-up, half-down do) I also took my engagement ring into the jewellars yesterday to get some scratches buffed out before the wedding....so now I am weirdly engagement-ring-less. I have moved my ring from my right hand there instead so I at least have something. can't believe the weekend's over already....now no more time off until we actually fly out. 3 full weeks left of work!!!!!!!!!! and then 3 weeks off!! woooooooooo! Yay! Yay for all of that. So happy things are starting to shift. And your wedding is soooo soon!

Taylorwd's Planning Thread **Lots of Pics!**

Yay! Everything looks great. Congratulations on getting it all done. Now for the wedding... -
Just wanted to take a minute to vent. I am 6 months and 2 days out from my wedding and so I decided to take diet/exercise more seriously. (Ha....that's an understatement considering I've been eating whatever I want since before I had my son over 8 months ago!) Anyway, I have about 12 lbs to go. Which I think is very doable with 6 months ahead. I started working out two days ago and even went to Weight Watchers yesterday. I was doing well until I got re-ended on my way home from work last night. Slammed into the guy in front of me, totally wrecked the front of my car and banged up my knee. I was so upset today I ate 2 donuts!!! There goes the diet. I figured I'd start again when I am officially 6 months out. So Saturday. Hopefully my knee is fine so I can work out. Ah, got to love the idiot drivers in Los Angeles. Like my fiance said to me yesterday...Los Angeles always has a way to remind you that it's not all just sunshine. This city is a beast. Ok. Done venting. Back to everything love! Thanks for listening.

not a word, message, comment or text of her. just deleted and ignored. i know it's not the end of the world, but we have booked a table in a restaurant and I didn't think a bit of common courtesy would have been too much to ask. So yeah, great night. blaaahhhhhhhhh Ah that sucks. So sorry! People are jerks. I am sure you will have an amazing time anyway.

Well I took your advice on this one and I asked my WC, Tiffany. She said that they would have to charge me for a signature drink. Bummer. Especially because I am doing the Sky Package, cocktail party and private recepetion. I guess it shouldn't surprise me at all that they told you one thing and me another. Also, on the amenity sheet they sent me I think dress pressing is listed as $10.

Right girls - I am off to the airport for my shower and hen night in Baltimore tomorrow night!!! watch out!!!! You know, I've been meaning to tell you...I grew up in Baltimore. All of my family is still there. My fiance and I live in Los Angeles, actually just a few miles from Amy F. (Though I haven't met her yet. ) And fiance is from Austin, TX. Small world. So cool to see brides from our "hometowns" getting married at AS!

That is a great idea! You're very nice to your guests. Since we're taking our guests sailing in Mexico, we figured that would be their "thank you for coming/ we're so happy you're here." How many guests do you have booked? I would love to take my guests sailing but when it is all said and done, I think we will have 65-75 guests. So the boat trip will be very expensive. I still have my heart on doing something special for everyone. What company are you using?

Is anyone using their ceremony flowers for the reception also? If so, what are your plans? I am hoping to find tall stands to put bouquets in. (Tall enough to be mid-torso of seated guests. Maybe put them every other row?) I would then move them to vases for the reception. Hopefully that would work. Tiffany did tell me I can use the ceremony flowers at the reception. Yay! That should save atleast a few hundred dollars even with the expense rates for Lomas' vases.

Well that is annoying! Oh well, I should have figured. I emailed Tiffany about it but am still waiting to hear back. Surprise! Maybe I should go with the family style. At least they'll have a choice of chicken, meat and fish. I'll just try to do the fancy stuff during the cocktail reception. Thanks for the input.

For those of you that did or are doing a private reception, what did you choose for food? Did anyone do the Italian Family Style? We have been leaning towards the pick and choose menu but am so annoyed that I can only offer guests 2 options. I think that I am actually going to offer 3 (the thirs beign pasta) and just tell my WC that I have about 10 vegatarians in my group. Do you think that would work? Would love to hear waht you all are doing! I plan to order my invites next week and want to put the meal options on the resposne cards. Thanks!

Oh man I didnt event factor make-up into my budget. I'm lucky though to have a friend that's amazing at make-up. She's one of my bridesmaids and will do it for me when we are there. I too wear very little make-up. Mostly because I suck at applying it. So I guess I'll probably be spending a fortune on it. Maybe I should start aquiring little by little.

It truly was a lifesaver for me when I was just starting out. I read it cover to cover! It's filled with helpful information about pretty much everything and has 10 or so pages of timelines. I'd say you're pretty on track for being 7ish months out. And finding your dress first is not doing it backwards! For many brides it's the most difficult part so good for you finding your perfect dress at such a bargain! You need the dress as early as possible so that you can start thinking about shoes, jewelry, and veils. Your theme sounds gorgeous and it seems like you already have pretty good ideas about what you want to do for decorations. I'd say you're sittin' pretty! You're very kind.

Oh you girls are making me feel really behind. Because we had a baby in July it took us much longer to get the wedding plans in order. We didn't decide on AS until late January and our STD which was sent out the beginning of February. We already have 20+ booked but honestly expect up to 60 more. AHHH. So much for a small wedding. I wasn't planning to send the formal invite out until May. Am I waiting too long? I must do everything backwards because I bought my dress before everything else. I went to a sample store just for fun and they had my dream dress for 70% off and it only needs minor alterations. I had to take it. So far I've been trying to get my theme together but so much is dependant on budget. And the more responses I get from Tiffany my WC, the less I think I can afford. Sigh. So I start from the drawing board again. I do know that I want the wedding to have a vintage romance feel. I found a great lace aisle runner at save-on-crafts.com that I am thinking about getting. I was thinking of hanging antique picture frames from the wood beams over the Sky Deck. Thinking about doing the decorations for the Sky Deck myself as well. I found baby's breath that's been died deep purple and some other that looks shiney gold/silver. Thinking about getting antique planter and filling with the dyed flowers, placing them every other row. Haven't decided on brides maids dresses yet. I would really love to find something on sale at anthropologie or a place like that.(Again, think vintage romance.) But I haven't seen anything I liked yet. Oh boy. I think that I am in trouble. Not even sure what to do next. Guess I should google a wedding planning timeline and hop to it.

That's cool you're a publicist, I imagine you must be very busy all the time! You are AMAZING! And wow that's an amazing deal on the photos. Being in the industry I am in, I work with a ton of photogs but I recently had a photog friend shot my pregnancy photos for next to nothing so I'd feel bad asking her again. Hmm...

Thinking about doing one too, now. You all have the best ideas. Also, since we're both local if you're looking to unload any of your great DIY projects maybe I can take them off your hands:) I have so many great ideas but between my work hours (being a publicist seems to be a 24/7 job) and a 7 month old at home finding it really hard to get anything done. Youall are very inspiring though. PS, here I am posting at work again. Ahh. What I wouldnt give for one Saturday all to myself.
