PM what you guys are willing to spend as I know my budget is limited since all my funds are already invested in the wedding. I'm looking to do mine in the late summer though (gotta get in shape!) PM any info you have and I'll start looking into some things. You do the same and then we'll share all the info and make a group decision. Thanks ladies Misty-your save the dates are super cute. I love them and your colors look great together. Erin, thanks for the link to your BD thread. Your pictures look awesome. Love your tats!

  3. Erin, your centerpieces look great. I'm sure things with J's daughter will work out for the best. Can you send me the link to your BD shoot. I'd love to take a look. Nat, do you have pics of your centerpieces? I'd love to see them if you do.
  4. Cath, I just sent you the pics! Toya, That's a great wedding gift. I'm jealous. Lol.
  5. Hey Tam - Did you use the resorts photographer? Did anyone? I'd like to see what kind of pictures he takes. Are any of you doing a boudoir shoot? How do you even go about booking something like that? How much does it run? Any info would be super helpful. I swear, this site is like my newest guilty pleasure. Just can't get enough. Thank you all!
  6. Hey Christine, Just saw your post in the DPC brides forum. lol There is a cigar place in Lyndhurst where you are. It's called CigarEmporium. It's really small but they actually do have good cigars there. I go there every Father's Day. Hehehehe. Hope this helps.
  7. Hi and welcome! Picking a resort is a fun part in this whole process. I'd say check out Dreams Punta Cana but I'm byass because that's where I'm getting married. Lol I came across a really nice, modern, perfect for ALL body types kind of dress at VictoriaSecret. com It's their "convertible" dress. Can be worn like 15 different ways so all your bridesmaids can have the same dress but wear them different ways. And they're cute enough that you can wear them again. I think it's like $88. Def worth checking out. Hope this helps. Happy Planning.
  8. Hey Wendi You'll find this to be your newest guilty pleasure. Have fun with the site and the process of planning in general!
  9. Cristinimartini - I live in Kearny (2 towns over from you)! What a coinky dink. lol. What is your date? Between you, me, Eliana I feel right at home with my NJ brides. Eliana, I love the front of the first dress and the back of the second one. But they are both beautiful. I feel in love with a dress on this website but had no store near me What bad experience did you have at David's Bridal? I bought my dress there and had a great experience. Ebredhawk - my well wishes are with you for tomorrow! Can't wait to see your centerpieces, whenever you get to them. lol
  10. Hello beautiful ladies: Thought I'd share some info with you that I got back from Deyanira in case you had the same questions I did: Can you please give me the dimensions of the round tables you use as I will be ordering table cloth overlays shortly. 30¨high x 72¨ long. This is the one that we normally use. Can you let me know what kind of cake flavors and icing flavors you offer? The flavors are vanilla, chocolate, almond or strawberry. The icing is white. Can you give me a little more information about the bonfire for $175. I’m thinking about having this the day before my wedding as opposed to a rehearsal/welcome dinner but would like to know what it includes if anything. This only includes the bon fire for 1 hour. If you would like to have music and drinks that has an additional cost. Find attached the bar packages. ( I can email this to you if you'd like to see it) Also, can you give me more information on the Photographer’s package? BRONZE PACKAGE Photography of Ceremony with half an hour after ceremony for a beach or garden session with the newlywed couple, two sets of 50 Photographs (Digital Negative in CD and printed in 5X7 format), the photos will vary from color to B/W to sepia. US$500.00 SILVER PACKAGE Pre wedding photo session, Preparation of Bride and Groom, ceremony, after wedding photo session, 100 color, B/W or sepia 5X7 photographs, CD with selected 100 photos. 11. I love your dress. But what I love even more is how happy you look in it. Smiling from ear to ear, that's how you know you found "THE" dress! Congrats!
  12. Hey Karina, I'm an August bride too. And oddly enough, these are my wedding colors. You did a good job on them. Congrats.
  13. Hi! I plan on buying a cute summery white dress from Victoria Secret. Nothing too dressy but def something white. Hope this helps.
  14. Wow, those pictures were gorgeous. How many dresses did you have? I noticed at least 3 different ones! I'm glad to hear you both are doing well. Your wedding looks magical. Congrats!

    I'm new

Hey Cheryl Welcome and congrats on your wedding. Wow, 2 months to go. Are you super excited or super stressed?
  16. Hey Toya, Got keep up love. LOL. Wow, you have a lot of big things to do in 4 months. But I'm sure once you get the ball rolling, nothing will stand in your way and it'll be a breeze. Have you decided on colors and styles and now it's just a matter of buying everything? You're bringing your own cake cutter, etc. The resort doesn't supply you with that. Or you just want to use your own? Have ANY idea on centerpieces or favors? Sucks that you can't really give chocolates because it'll melt. I'm actually thinking of giving Old Navy flip flops as my favors wrapped together with cute ribbons and a starfish. Good luck with your planning. Your day will be here before you know it. No pressure though. lol
  17. I like option 1. I think it's fun and original. It's perfect if your wedding is fun and casual. If you're having a more formal reception though, I'd go with choice #3. It's all about creating a theme. Once you've picked a venue and centerpieces, the decision will be easier to see what blends the best. Very unique choices though. Good luck deciding.
  18. Hey Beth, Welcome! I've seen pics of that resort. They look gorgeous! Hope it's everything you've dreamed of!
  19. Thanks for the website. I can't believe they have COLORED sandlewood fans. Exactly what I've been looking for. And they have gorgeous lanterns. If you opt for that idea, I'm sure your terrace/reception will look magical.
  20. Elifrigo-I got your email. The isle pics look amazing. Are you going to have the WC do that or your MOH? Will that design hold up with the wind?

I'm having my reception on the Himitsu terrace but when I was trying to narrow down my choice, I too thought that lanterns would be a great touch overhead. I think it would create great romantic lighting and with the gorgeous night sky right above. uh, goosebumps! lol. I say go for it, sounds like a great idea. And hang them at different heights to create depth just my 2 cents.

Hey hun, That's a pretty good turn out. I just joined and will be getting married at Dreams Punta Cana on 8-28-2010. You should join the DPC forum. You'll find tons of useful ideas and opinions there as we'll all be getting married in the same place. Happy planning and welcome.
