  1. I really wanted to do a candy bar at my wedding but the candy would just melt! lol I'm doing one at my AHR. I've picked the same website as you for the candy. For the bags and scoops I've checked out Party supplies, crafts, party decorations, toys: Oriental Trading Can't go wrong with the prices there. Are you staying with candy that is the same colors as your wedding? I think I want to keep a color scheme. What do you think?
  2. Can't see the pic But it's a cute DIY idea. Hadn't thought about that one. Good luck posting the picture. Dying to see how it came out.

  9. I was thinking about scattering some lanterns on the floor around the tables. I'm my head it looks great but I'm not completely sold for some reason. Can anyone see pros and cons to this. It would really help me to make a decision. Thanks.

Hi Michelle, Punta Cana is gorgeous. I'm sure which ever resort you chose will be amazing. Happy Planning!
  12. Well, I don't know about everyone else's FI but mine is not really a detail oriented type of guy. He is not SUPER involved in the wedding process but he does give input here and there. He says he doesn't care about the small details, he just wants to marry me and start the rest of his life with me. (tear drop tear drop) lol So I figured I'd get him a gift that would make him a little more excited about going down to DR to get married. I'm surprising him with a limo to take us to the airport and then, to his ultimate surprise, we'll be flying first class. It's something we've always wanted to do but never could afford it. So what better time then our wedding to take the plunge. After viewing this site though, I've also decided to do a BD shoot and give him the book the morning of our wedding. It's a gift for him but also a gift to myself. Just gotta hit the gym now. lol

When I open the card I realized one of my brides getting marry this year (August) had send them to me! the card says: "Eliana I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work in helping me with my wedding questions and preparation. You have been amazing and I am so gratefull for all your hard work, regards Mara". WOWWWWWWWWW I was soo amazeddd and grateful that she did something like this! what a great touchhh! Her wedding is not until august and she is already thanking me! What an amazing way to thank a WC. Anyways.... this weekend I'm working all weekend (menu tasting tomorrow for June wedding and bridal show on Sunday) but I will be sure to check the forum! Have a great weekend girls! Eliana-that was so sweet of your bride to do that. It's always nice to know that your hard work is appreciate.
  23. Maybe I just got lucky. I went to the bridal store with a picture of 3 dresses I wanted to try on and one of them was perfect. I came out of the dressing room and the bridal party next to us started clapping even before I got to see myself in the mirror. That's how I knew that was the dress for me. I can see wear it would be taxing to have to try on lots of dressed. The girl next to me had tried on over 40 dressed. OMG! That, I could never do! What kind of dress did you end up getting?
  24. Trying on dresses is the fun part (well, at least for me it was)! I think once you get "the" dress, you'll be more excited to finish the rest of your planning. You have plenty of time for planning though. Do things at your own pace so you don't get overwhelmed. There will come a period of "i'm over it" and then they'll be a period were it's constant planning! You'll get through. =) enjoy the process.
