  1. Saving a spot for you and the groom at each table is sooooo clever! I've never heard of that before. One of the reasons I love this site so much!
  2. I found some just by searching on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-3-Piece-black-plastic-vase-set-/190641266390?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c631aded6#ht_500wt_1361
  3. Heather - Have you thought about silk flowers? I was in another thread and someone mentioned how amazing her silk flowers were from: http://www.weddingwire.com/biz/simply-classic-creations-noblesville/website/1ee97e2791be8445.html. She said no one could tell they weren't real and best of all she got to keep them! Not sure how well they would pack though.
  4. I agree! Thanks for all the input Sandy. Previous brides had wonderful things to say about you!
  5. Marilili - thanks for replying to the older dress post. I have a dress that's almost identical to that dress on my inspiration board and I've been drooling over it for months and never knew who the designer was. Now I do!!!!!! This is the dress that is on my inspiration board. Soooooooo similar
  6. Lola2012 - I absolutely LOVE the lights under the tables! Such a cool way to add a pop of color to the white table clothes. I wonder if they can do that!
  7. How is this resort for children? I really like the amenities for children at Adventura Cove, but I looooooove the beach of Playacar. I know that I'd like to be a Palace bride with all of the amazing incentives, but I just can't figure out which resort
  8. Have they been able to tell you when they will release the 2013 promotions?
  9. Were you able to find the answer to this question? I've been curious if palace brides were paying out of pocket for receptions or using the 'unlimited private function' for the reception. I noticed with the package prices that they only include a dinner reservation, but not a private reception-like event. Also, other resorts charge per person for guests over a certain number at the ceremony/reception. Do the palace resorts to that also, even if you're using your 'unlimited private function'?
  10. Thank you so much for the information! I thought it was odd that I couldn't find any reviews for the site. I've searched around and it seems that DressilyMe has great reviews and I LOVE how they will send you images of the dress before they ship it in case you want to make alterations.
  11. Has anyone heard of http://www.milanobridal.com? I'm not sure if they're a knock-off or not but the prices are extremely low. I'm curious though because it's advertising the actual designer so I don't know how that works if it's a knock-off. For some reason I thought they couldn't make it appear as though it were designer. Has anyone used them?
  12. Thanks for all of the examples ladies. Another question, when you purchase the Eternity or Devine package, is liquor included? Obviously it's included during the cocktail hour but is it included during the dinner/two hour reception, or do you have to purchase it a la carte for those hours? I can't imagine my friends and family only wanting to drink during the 1-hour cocktail lol.
  13. Congrats on setting your wedding date. I've been contemplating NOW Sapphire for quite some time and have found a ton of helpful information on the Sapphire thread. You may want to post your question here in case more people will see it. There is definitely a night club at the resort and I've read that a lot of people will take there after party there. Also, a lot of people have mentioned that you can bring your ipod down and hook it up to their sound system in lieu of the DJ. Good luck and happy planning! Here's the thread. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/74418/now-sapphire-weddings-formerly-paradisus-riviera/190#post_1720046
  14. How come I can't select these links? Whenever I click on them it takes me to http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/f/
  15. This dress is spectacular! would you mind sharing your ebay seller so I can stalk them!!
  16. Does anyone have a copy of the planning form that they could send me? Also, what additional costs did you have outside of the package price? I'm curious how much additional people are spending and where. LOL, I've never gotten married before but it seems like the packages are pretty all-inclusive. I'm assuming though that it's not so cut and dry.
  17. So... I finally got the ring and now the serious search begins! I've narrowed down to wanting an all-inclusive resort in the Riviera Maya/Cancun area and was hoping for a little help from past brides. I hope this isn't too forward but what I really want to know is the cost to my guests. I'm hoping to find an all-inclusive, KID FRIENDLY, resort for about $150 per person, per night, with kids staying free. I know that sounds like a lot to ask, but I've seen some really good deals out there for Mexico lately and was hoping other brides could point me to some resorts.
  18. I also think this is a great idea! I had found NOW Sapphire independently of this forum and had a difficult time trying to locate this thread.
  19. Thank you for all of the suggestions. I have found in my searches that Mexico is substantially cheaper than most areas in the Caribbean so we may have to explore that area again. I've kept my fair distance from the news on Mexico and the violence against tourists. Has anyone received any recent information as to it's current safety?
  20. I was also curious if there will be another webinar for the NOW resorts, hopefully Sapphire. If not, is there any chance that the previous webinar was recorded and can be shared?
