  1. You should definately contact Marcia Roberts in Jamaica... her website is jamaicanphotography.com I was sooo happy with my wedding pictures... She can definately work with your budget and she is amazing... she captured every moment from us getting ready, the wedding, the wedding party photoshoot.. awesome!! Hope this helps
  2. Hello to all future brides... I just had to write and share my experience with Marcia Roberts and her team. I just got married in beautiful Jamaica at the Gran Bahia Principe. I was so nervous about getting my wedding photos because I could hardly remember the photoshoot b/c I was still filled with so much excitement! THEY WERE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! My husband is starting to get annoyed because I look through them over and over again....LOL She captured every moment and I had so many comments saying it was the best wedding photos seen in awhile. I am so happy and would recommend any of you brides planning to tie the knot in Jamaica to contact Marcia. (She books up fast) Feel free to msg me if you would like to see any photos... BTW .. the location on the wedding gazebo at the Gran Bahia Principe is truly magical and PERFECT for a wedding. Good luck to all of you!! And thanks so much Marcia! Amanda McGillivray
  3. Hi there, I was lucky to attended two destination weddings in jamaica in October. My cousin married on the 13th, and my sister married her husband on the 15th. One went with the $700 package, and the other went all out... all the bells and whistles... what was funny to me is that both weddings were equally beautiful and the larger package cost was for more extras like massages and breakfast in bed and stuff. A lot of things my sister didn'tt pay for got added on for free from the resort as they were really going out of their way to make her happy. I decided for my wedding to stick to a lower package and spend my money on a photographer as the ones offered on the resort were not great and the pics were not good quality (and there were no good poses or ideas!) The wedding ceremony is short.. about 30 mintues and then you have to move off location b/c they have other weddings to prepare for so a lot of the extras are a waste of money (in my opinion)... the resort is so beautiful and you move to so many locations for pictures that you really dont' need to go all out... hope that helps Amanda
  4. Did you find a photographer yet?? I found one to do my wedding in my at Runaway bay and the prices were very reasonable... her website looks really good and she got back to me within hours every time I contacted her. Jamaica wedding photographer , Marcia Roberts, Negril, Ocho Rios ,Montego Bay, Kingston, www.jamaicanphotography.com Are you getting married at gran bahia principe by any chance?
  5. Hello girls... I'm not in Calgary but still Alberta (Peace River) and I am getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe as well ! May 29th, 2010... I would love to hear of your experience after the wedding since you are getting married first!! I just booked my photographer today... I would recommend getting someone off the resort.. I was a bridesmaid at 2 weddings at Ocho Rios in Jamaica in October and both brides were not happy with the photo packages... price and creativity was not that great... Amanda
