    Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or past brides that have done this. We are planning on having a welcome party/meet and greet at the lobby bar and then have a dinner at the calabash restaurant. I want to put this on our welcome brochure but I guess we cant really confirm that we can eat their until we arrive and make reservations?

    hey everyone, I just received confirmation from Nicole that you CANNOT do a slideshow during your reception dinner if you do not rent out the restaurant to make it private.

    I am getting married in April (almost 2 months away) and thats when Nicole said we would start finialzing details (steel drum band...dj..bon fire, etc) but I havent heard from her since Novemeber and ive sent her many emails since then - the last being Jan 15thish. Hmmmm.... anyone received contact from Nicole lately?

    Ive ordered from www.weddingthings.com - just click the link at the top once your their that says "shop canadian store" - I ordered personalized napkins and favor tags and shipping was reasonable as they are based out of Vancouver.

    The cost of the bon fire is $250 for 15 people for one hour then we are paying somewhere between $7 - $10 for open bar for an extra hour and extra persons (depending on if we do national or international) + DJ costs for 2 hours ($300) + fire dancers (2 dancers for $250).

    Congrats on your wedding Brie! and thanx for the review! Always good to hear more positive comments. Did you by chance meet my friends - daniela and ryan? They got married on the 10th! So gave me a very detailed review when they got home about everything as well and confirms practically everything you said so thats good to hear!

    We are doing a bon fire party on the beach + the fire dancers for our wedding since we are doing our dancing on the beach after the reception dinner! Looking forward to this:)

    Thanx Sharan! Jodi-ann emailed me yesterday so now im just waiting to here back about quotes. I sent her abunch of pictures as well. Im also looking to have purple table cloths and chair sashes! A good website is wedding linens direct - i know a past iberostar bride ordered her's from there and they are a lot cheaper (even with shipping!).

    Looks like we are all still waiting to here about the center pieces! lol Has anyone been able to get in touch with Tai Flora ? Ive sent so many emails in the past 2 months and no contact. I sent Nicole an email beginning of Jan to follow up with them but no response from her as well. Hmmmm!

    Thanx Sharan, Thats not a bad price but does that also include the flowers inside the vase + candle? cause that would be worth it!

    These look great! Im kinda in the same dilemma - I have two different centre piece ideas im deciding between but also concerned about bringing vases that they are going to break! My first option was to bring metal sand buckets and use those for flowers (but i know people have been quoted alot of $$$ for flowers) and my second option is to bring vases and do the water, flower and floating candle idea (but concerned of vases breaking). hmmm what to do!

    Congrats on such a fantastic and amazing wedding!!! and thank you for the very detailed review. Its making me excited and a little nervous knowing that I only have 3 months to go, eeeek. My only question for you is about your centre piece decor! Did you bring a lot with you - if so, what did you bring? and for your flowers - did you pick this out ahead of time or once you got to the resort? Thank you!!!
