My MOH visited this weekend and we had a WONDERFUL TIME searching for dresses. <I need to get on the ball with that soon> Back to the subject, with a great time - great conversation and great food!! I got off track with my eating. I was already lagging with Vday weekend. So I think I may go into another fasting to shift my focus get the discipline back on track. In the past I have done the lemon juice fasting. I'm one of those people that have to eat!! So I eat veggies, fresh fruit and lean meats. This would mean putting my diet-to-go meals on hold for a week. Anyway keep me in thought with getting back on getting rid of 30 lbs!! Also, I did call to get set with my personal trainer.

Congratulations and HAVE FUN!! Actually, I have never been to a DW myself. But I am having soooo much fun planning.

Welcome and best wishes planning.

Welcome and join the DR Brides!! :-) Really I have a resort analysis I used to help with my decision that I will be happy to share. You would of course adjust it to fit your needs. Also get a TA or a DW Specialist soon. They will help you narrow down your decision. Happy Planning!

I think you should talk to them first. If they are local invite them to lunch and present with the guide talk about what you need each one to help you with and how you need their help. Ask them to work on specific things... a to-do-list. Also search on this site, someone posted a guide for what a BM and MOH should do to assist the bride. if this does work fire them....just kidding...well if you want to! :-) If your budget allows hire a wedding coordinator. Not the site coordinators but someone that will travel with you and help you prepare for travel. Anyway, just don't stress.

For Brides considering Occidental Grand in Punta Cana, DR I wanted to share my experience. I couldn't find much information about Occidental Grand on BDW so I decided to share my experience to help others that may decide to explore this resort. Most of the comments I found were from people visiting the resort and very little about current or former brides. I really wish I found BDW before I started my planning. But I am so thankful I did and excited because I still have a lot to learn from BDW. I have a couple of pictures the resort sent me for ceremony site selections. I'll post soon.

After the the valentines day holiday, plus a week of stress. My eating habits have taken a dive for the worst. I'm resisting my old eating habits but stress is pulling me in to the vicious cycle. So HELP! I'm still going strong with my DIET-TO-GO food and I'm going to send an email to kick start my workout again...but this time with a personal trainer. I'll post the Diet-to-Go details in another post providing more details.

Travelling With Children
TLC4Rock replied to wpg2010's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I created DIY coloring books for my little guest. I have the sample on 'My Blog' Best Destination Wedding Forum ~ The Ultimate Destination Wedding Resource -
I highly recommend using a TA, most will assist be there to support your guest with travel and once you reach the resort. If there are issues with their flight they have support from the TA. Using the various online sites it makes it difficult to manage and keep up with guest arrivals. TAs will provide a summary of guest arrivals and departures. There is always going to be one or two guest that will try to find their own travels online the only thing you can do is suggest they use yours...but if you are like me. I just want what works best for my guest financially.

Paying For Travel Arrangements??
TLC4Rock replied to weddinggirl72's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
We are not planning to pay for travel arrangements. I would like to purchase the attire of the wedding party in addition with a gift. I want to reduce their cost for sharing our day. Also the wedding parties OTTs will be a little different...the upgraded version. PLUS when we return I would like to take the wedding party out for dinner! -
Pictures before the Ceremony????
TLC4Rock replied to TheFutureMrs.Sears's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I'm a bit traditional on this subject. I think that's what the cocktail hour is for...your guest get to mingle while the wedding party takes pictures. Bottom line it's your day and if you choose to takes pics after so that you FI does not see you...I'm sure you guest will be patient and supportive. -
Congratulations and welcome. Keep searching I'm sure someone will have answers!

Best wishes and WELCOME! I would like my guest to stay at the same resort, but that is really up to you. I plan on leaving a day before my guess and stay in a different city in DR for a bit of alone time. But I really want the the first couple of days with Family and Friends.

Congratulations and welcome! I am getting married in DR in July also!! Get in contact with a TA they can help you find a location faster. It is overwhelming doing it all alone...but this site is full of support and suggestions. Happy Planning! BTW, I am still looking for bridesmaid dresses. We looked at David's Bridal but I REALLY didn't want to use that option. So please share if you find anything. Also do search for BM dresses - I'm sure someone has already started a thread on that subject.

I'm not that close but I travel through Richmond often. I live in Northern VA and my FI is in the Norfolk area.

Get Moving Loosing the Pounds! I am getting motivated to loose more weight, starting with a fitness trainer. It's an awesome program that I will share more information later. But if you can't wait for me to update then send me a PM. Two weeks into hard work...pain seeking gain. I notice I am loosing my hair. Or better yet Alopecia. <shoot me NOW> Alopecia areata - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I created these in Microsoft Publisher. I saw some coloring books on Oriental Trading with the crayons however. I really wanted my cover page customized. I still may take some personal pictures and add to the book but here is a start! There are FREE coloring pages online just 'google' them then I created a MS Publisher book...wallla. Please let me know if you use them and how they work out for you. The one attached is a abbreviated version. I have more pages but it was too large to post. So please let me know if you would like to see the full file.

Tan/white Suit
TLC4Rock replied to amybermuda's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
I have been trying to tell my brother that Brides are NOT the only ones that must wear white. That is an old tradition and smash the idea! I love the idea of the white linen suit. Can someone post pictures of your wedding so that I can see it all together? I just need some visuals.
