Our wedding is on a Friday. We are arriving the Friday before and staying untill the Friday after. People can come down here and there as they please. We don't really mind hanging out with our family, but a few days alone here and there will be nice.

I sent my STD's out 10 months ahead. I asked everyone to RSVP on the website but only two people did. My mom and his mom. Even the people that booked the trip didnt RSVP. If working in marketing has told me one thing its that people dont like to read.....except brides.

Ive been trying to weigh the benifits of an outside vendor vs the hotel vendor myself. Honestly its possible not to like the end result of either just because you don't know them and their might be some comunication bariers. If I did an outside person. I would defently want them to do both hair and makeup. I also have a very specific look I want. I guess I could give the people at the resort a picture just as easly as i could an outside person...hard call. I look forward to seeing other referals.

We are getting married in Riviera Maya at a very nice all inclusive resort. The price is very competitive. We have a few guests that are thinking about booking their stay at a different hotel and just coming over. I believe they are trying to use a timeshare. Unlike Cancun or other City Area’s you cannot simply walk to another hotel. The resorts are far apart. You would have to pay for a taxi and a day pass, every day you come over. A day pass alone can run about 65$ I really wanted everyone at one hotel so we could all hang out as a family. Plus the OOT bags, Nightly Dinners and the bonuses my fiancé and I get. If we book 75nights we get 7 free nights at the hotel plus unlimited wedding events. I tried to very nicely mention this to this person, but I don’t think it was what they wanted to hear. Has anyone else had a similar situation you would like to share? And how you dealt with it? I was kinda bummed when I heard this.

Way before the invite. I would have been pissed about the wedding date. Why would they think it was a good idea to have it so close to another wedding? As a bride I would never book mine close to a cousins. That alone would have serously irrated me.

This is an awesome site. I intend on using in when I get a little closer to the wedding. I plan on putting a starfish on every plate. At first I was going to do to fans, but I was told those wouldn't be the best for the men. I think starfish will help work as a great.
