Yes, the bartenders will fill up the insulated mugs. The drinks come with little ice and because it is so hot, if you don’t drink your drink fast enough it will get watered down. So mugs are a great idea! Remember that most guests are 2 to a room so you will need to put 2 in each bag. The bell man are used to simplicity, so if you have different bags (say some bags have 2 mugs and some have 3, or 4) that need to go to certain rooms, it makes it difficult for them to understand what to do. We had guest that brought their huge Bubba Mugs which were pretty awesome. Don’t forget…you have to travel with all this stuff. Hope this helps! Kimberly Did you see any mugs in Playa? I dont want to travel with them =)
  2. Is it true they only do two weddings a day or is there more? I am not sure where I want to have my receiption. I would prefer to wait and decide once I am down there. But if it fills up I dont want to be stuck in a indoor conferance room or something =)
  3. I would love to see them too. I am getting married there in Feb. [email protected] thanks so much! I cant wait to see them
  4. ohno...I hope you hit save in the word doc....Thats always the way thing seem to go huh? On another note...I cant wait to see a new planning thread! those are my fav's!

  6. Happy Wedding Day! (Tomorrow) June 26th, 2010! at the Aventura Cove and Spa, Palace Resort in RM! Can't wait to hear all about it on the ASP Thread!

All of my guests are still raving about how great of a time they had. The issues I had were between me and the resort and I made sure not to let my guest know what was going on. Since I had over 25 rooms booked, all the private functions were free. The pool party was something I created on my own. I just added it to my itinerary which I provided all of my guests with. Basically I just told them Pool Party, Cove Palace Pool. I had no idea the pool had a DJ so this was a bonus. They even had a person (in costume) that worked the pool area and was able to get a volleyball game going. Really ended up being a great idea. The welcome dinner was included in the unlimited private functions so I paid nothing extra. HIGHLY recommend doing a welcome dinner! This was a highlight of the weekend for my hubby. Also we had 5 people including myself who had birthdays that weekend so had a cake and sang happy birthday. It was also a great place for guest to give toast so that they wouldn’t take away time at the reception the night of the wedding. Our schedules were so hectic that we couldn’t do an inspection beforehand. I would make sure to take a notebook and ask every single question or concern you might have. Make sure to ask if the flowers are real/fake. If you have ideas about floral arrangements take pictures and ask the cost upfront. Flowers were one of our biggest issues. If I think of any more questions you should ask, I will send them to you. Have a blast!! Kimberly Your review did worry me a tad, but as long as the problems were between you and the resort and the guests loved it, I am ok with that. I am glad you added that! I have my wedding booked their for next Feb. atleast I know what to except. I am not sure what to do with the flowers at this point. I saw some in Palace photo's I really like, however none of those were included in the picture book PDF they sent me. Probably cause the where done by an outside source and are expensive. I will only be having 4-5 tables tho. Probably a little less costly then 11 tables. I dont mind fake flowers at all. I almost rather have them so I dont feel like they are waisted on one night. However....I better not be paying full price then!...thats something I might work out ahead of time now....thanks for the heads up! We booked palace resorts because of the free events as well. Plus this resorts looks really natury from the photos. Is it? Thats a big deal to us. I loved all the waterfalls in the pictures.
  8. Based on these photos only and that its a DW..I vote 1
  9. B2B = peterpanpixiedust (Chris) - Needs a lil Pepping up! Mrs. = Jackie22 - Yay for ASP brides!
  10. I am probably going to go with some cute cotton boy shorts from Gap Body...They are cute and the big butt looks good in them. They arnt the sexist, like a lace thong or anything. But they are so comfy and never go where they shouldnt. I really don't want to have to worry about adjusting myself or being unladylike on my wedding day. http://www.gap.com/browse/category.d...&clink=1783131
  11. I’m so sorry to hear that hun, It must be really hard for you right now. I hope your FI is being really supportive and giving you lots of hugs. It must be especially hard because the situation because it just doesn’t seem far, and its not. It’s not far at all. And you have every right to be as mad or upset as you are. You said you feel like you have to me the older adult one now... especially with your dad so sad, but make sure you give your self as much time as you need to grieve. You really need to take care of yourself first. You can help others even better when you’re ok first. Take a few days off work if you can / want, vent on here as much as you want and think how lucky you are to have your FI. As one part of your life ends, another is just starting. And I am sure your Papa wants to see you happy and can't wait to watch your wedding from heaven. Please Let us know if there is anything we can do to help. I have found holding a pet / FI / or even my stuffed panda bear and loving something during hard times really helps. /hugs
  12. I love everything. What you did with the placeholders is such a great idea! I so might use that. Thanks so much for sharing..Congrats!

If I would have to bring rope to hang them or extension cords. Also I really want to do candles too but everyone said it was too windy. I was thinking about putting tea candles in a volture holder so it had about an inch and a half to protect it from the wind. Maybe I’ll try this out on my deck. Also, for the girls that had there ceremony video taped. Everyone did it just for the ceremony right? Or the reception too? I am thinking its going to go by so fast I am not going to remember anything.

Sure we didnt need the RSVP cards or envelopes since we weren't using them but we have extra pretty notecards and envelopes now lol. I am doing Michaels for my invites, Menu's and programs. All you need is a computer and printer. Also if you by the Martha Steward Bridal Magazine they have a 20% off the ENTIRE order coupon. My FI was really really happy about this. Its going to save us a lot of money. Plus we are going to add our own touches to embellish the invites....wax seals and such. Makes it easier to splurge on the things that are more important to me like the photographer.
  15. Very nice! thanks so much for sharing. I love your candels. I want candels but I am worried about the wind.
  16. Wonderful review. I am glad they were able to work with your hair extensions. I wanted to bring some down, but am unsure if they would know what / how to do them. Thought the language barrer might be a problem. Anyways...I think I might now =) Thanks so much for sharing and congrats!

Is anyone else having calla lillies and orchids in their bouquets? What are your bouquets pricing at? Or is it included in the resort package since most of you are having resort weddings? I think I am going to get Calla Lillies for my brides maids. I plan to order real touch flowers online. I found some really pretty ones for $25. Here are pictures of them. I haven't order them yet tho. I am worried I might change my mind closer to the wedding. http://www.save-on-crafts.com/callabouquet.html
  18. Your pictures are absolutely amazing. I love your dress / hair / makeup. You look amazing! and omg the resort is beautiful. I love the lanterns hanging from the sky. The TTD are great too!
  19. Everything Looks amazing. I think I am going to use the same paper stock place you did. I have been looking for a DIY vendor. Thanks so much for sharing!
  20. Well... We have booked our wedding at the Aventura Cove Palace. Along with our room and the plane tickets. So far Not including Me and the FI I have 4 couples booked for a total of 28 days. Others have said they are coming but have not booked anything yet. I have booked Del Sol as my photographer. I have been looking into flower option and I have talked to J&S Audio about music during the reception, however i haven't booked that yet because I am not sure if we will have enough people to have a dance. If we have a small amount of people. I am just going to save my money in this area. I have bought my dress. And receive my birdcage veil from Etsy. Next month I will probably order the undergarments. And the shoes the following month. If I spread out the expenses they don't seem so bad =) I just started thinking about invites. I will probably send those out in Oct. How about you? I would love to see where everyone else is at.
  21. I am looking for some chic looking pocket folder invites. Having a difficult time finding anything I like. Tempted to buy white everything and just design them myself but I really don't want to do the work if I can help it. I am still having nightmares from the STD's
  22. I really like this idea. A lot of the "Green" Bags I have seen have cool designs on them and they promote the environment. Who doesn't love that! I am putting this idea in my wedding folder =)
