It gets so overwhelming trying to put together the last details!
  2. Wow! 2 months until the big day! I cant believe how fast time goes! I still have so much to do and can't think!

I believe at the resort they charge you $25 per table to just put on an overlay. That is ridiculous! I would rather spend $4! LOL

I just ordered overlays and ordered 5 to be safe because the other pic showed 4 buffet tables. What do you think?

I would suggest youu act fast as the shipments came in yesterday for some!!! Thanks so much! SO you went to the actual store to pick them up?
  7. Ladies...how many buffet tables are there? I just went to order my linens and realized I did not know this answer. I thought I remember someone mentioning that there are 2 buffet tables. My brain is blank! Help!

I have been going crazy looking for totes? I checked out the site and it says that they come in an assortment of different colors? Are those the ones you got? How is the quality??
  9. Hey ladies!! Does anyone know how many chairs are set up at each reception table? Not sure how many overlays to order!

The truth is they do so many weddings so they are really good at it. I saw them set up a wedding ceremony for 9 pm on a balcony outside the disco because that is what the bride wanted. That's great to know! Saves me a little money! LOL.. Thanks for your help!

Also the chair bows and overlays looked awesome and they are pretty cheap online at linentablecoth. they were less than $1.00 a piece for the organza chair bows. The resort didn't charge us to put them on the chairs or move them to the reception. They rolled them up afterward and sent them to the room when asked a couple of days later. It was easy to transport them and I think that they made a huge difference in the look of the wedding and reception. Just my opinion. Thanks for the info! THey did move the ceremony bows for you to the reception? I didn't know if they would do that so I was originally going to order double the amount of chair bows.

This has been confusing me for a while now! I really appreciate it!!

I originally was going to use my ipod and bring a sound system but with all the other stuff I was doing, I started to get really stressed about picking good music, making sure there were transitions between the songs, and then how it would be played. I am not super good with that stuff though . I was really happy in the end that I chose to have a DJ! Oh and the cold fireworks are AWESOME! I had the technician and sound system for the ceremony and the technician just played the CD that I provided. He also faded the songs so that they transitioned nicely. Not sure how involved he would be at the reception though? Laura...what size overlays did you order for your reception tables? I am having such a hard time figuring out which size to get. I found 72'' and 90". I know the tables are 5 ft in diameter but not sure how much extra I need. What did you do?
  15. Ladies I really need your feedback! What size overlays are you all ordering for your round tables for reception??
  16. I need your help ladies!!!! I am ordering my table overlays and I have no idea what size to get! I found out the tables are 5ft. in diameter. The choices are 72x72 or 90x90. What size overlays did you all purchase?? Help! I need to get these ordered!!!!

I think it depends on the overall feel and style of your wedding. If you are going super simple and minimalist, or having a very small ceremony, then I think sashes are totally not necessary. But if you like them, do it! I love the look, and my wedding is going to be a bit bigger and more formal than some I think, so I'm definitely having chair sashes. I did get a monogram cake topper! Actually there was another bride on here selling some that she didn't end up using, and they just happened to be mine and FI's initials! So I got a super deal. Must have been meant to be They are really beautiful, and have swarovski crystals on them. I'm thinking that I will have flowers on the top tier of the cake and our two initials will be kidn of nested in them. I have to say though, personally I don't know if I would have sprung for them at the price most stores want for them. The cake isn't a super important thing for me though, so I just couldn't see spending too much on a topper. I think if the cake is important to you though then you should go for it! Thanks! I may get one because they definitely are beautiful. Little pricey on most of the sites I have checked out. Where did you get yours?
  19. Is anyone getting a cake topper? Silly question, but I was going to order a monogram topper. I am not sure if I should. They do get a bit pricey.
  20. Hey Ladies...I really need to order my linens. Does anyone know the size I would need for the tables for the reception I have waited so long and now wedding linens direct is out of stock on fuschia. I need to get them ASAP.

The quote we got for the first week of May 2011 was a bit over the top ($1946 pp txes included) but we're doing it anyway. How are you getting everything to Mexico for your wedding? CPs, any stuff for guest totebags/gifts, etc. Are you shipping it there or bringing it with you in luggage? Are you worried about them asking questions at the airport if it's in your luggage? Seems like a silly thing to worry about, I'm sure. Just wondering... thanks and congratulations to everyone! I am bringing my totes and everything for the totes with me. Putting a little in everyone's bags. LOL. I am too worried to have it shipped there. U never know if it will get there after it goes through customs.

My mind is foggy and I feel lost. Not sure what's the best look. I want to book an excursion, which vendor are some of you ladies using? My budget is about $1k and we have 40 guests coming. I know read sometime back of a vendor that sells cheap chair sashes and table top covers. Do any of you have this vendor handy that you can supply me with? OOHH and for those of you who hav wed there already, how many songs would you say I need for the ceremony? I suppose it would be nice to have music playing while the guests wait, right? Help, help, help....thanks girls, xoxo. Soon2be...A good site for linens in wedding linens direct home page They have great prices. I am ordering mine from there as well.
  23. Hey ladies! I am still having such trouble with writing my ceremony script for a symbolic ceremony. I saw one posted here and it was pretty good, but I still can't find the "right one". Any idea of sites to find samples? Help!!!

I know I want something bright and tropical to go with the fuschia. What about u?
