  1. We actually will both have our carry on bags, and each do a checked bag as well. My to be mother in law and her boyfriend will be traveling with us too, so I guess we can spread some items out if need be with them as well.
  2. Thanks for the tip! I will check out staples near me. Just saw this, so hope it's still going on... Otherwise will try $ store or Christmas Tree shoppe!
  3. We are planning to do just a thank you bag. All our guests are paying their own way, so we want to show our appreciation for them attending and spending the money to come. I plan to just get a regular gift bag possibly, attach a label to them with the name of the guest or couple, and add just a few items inside like sunscreen, a bag of Jamaican coffee, Jerk Seasoning, and a couple other small items. We will also likely do a welcome letter - which we will just make at home too.
  4. This is awesome! I am going to add to our welcome letter! Thanks much!
  5. Nice find! I will have to check out my store nearby! Thanks for sharing!
  6. Just wanted to note about another cute item to add to an OOT or thank you bag. I found coconut candles online at Amazon! They come in real coconut shells, and there are many different sellers. Decently cheap too, and thought they were a cute idea! Â
  7. Hi everyone! Have a question that I cannot seem to find the answer to online or on the forums. Im getting married in December at BRB. I am caucasian and have really thick long hair. Humidity is not my friend for curls. I really would love to have either a side curly pony tail style for the wedding or a half up style... however I am really worried about the humidity making my hair a total disaster. Anyone know how high the humidity gets in December there? Or does anyone have suggestions to help hold a curl in humid weather? I really dont want to have to put my hair up if there is a trick to this! Thanks so much for any suggestions!!!
  8. Thanks so much for posting! I am getting married there in December and this is so helpful to see all the pics and the review! Appreciate you posting! You're pictures are beautiful! Congrats!!!
  9. I actually found Jamaican Blue Mtn coffee at TJ Maxx! Marshall's also has these. They are pretty good size bag of coffee for about $6 each. I plan to give one to each of our guests in their bag for sure (so far have 10 people booked). I also plan to put an underwater camera in each bag too. Not sure on the other items yet though. I have looked for Jerk seasoning or sauce at these stores too, but havent found any yet. I recommend the coffee from though!
  10. Very cute! Good find! I will have to see if they have in store too, since I will be in their area today!
  11. Im getting married this December at Breezes Runaway Bay. We thought it was the best option for us/ our group. We wanted a very authentic Jamaican hotel. My soon to be mother-in-law stayed there a couple years ago and had the best time of her life! We are really looking forward to it! So far the coordinators have been easy to work with, and reserving the day/time was a breeze for us! Haha, no pun intended... It's also very afordable, and I have heard and saw pics on tripadvisor that they have a great coral reef right off the beach there to snorkel at. I can't wait to go! Good luck!
  12. My Mrs. tank just came today! Thanks again for sharing. I think the tank size runs a little small, so just a warning to anyone getting the tanks! I still love mine though and i found a way to make it work by layering it! Woohoo!
  13. Yea, for us no AHR after the wedding. Since the wedding is right around the holidays though, we figured we can show family/close friends the pics and video when we see them for Christmas! This would be all that we do for our celebration at home with our friends and family. We just wanted to try to include everyone in something fun and exciting, especially for those who cant make it. Since having one in Jan I thought was kind of pushing it for us, plus people being tired of parties and celebrations by then! LOL.
  14. Thanks yumyum90! I believe we will follow through with the before party! I actually found a very cool place for us to have it too! It's a local brewery in my area that has very large banquet room. They also have a tropical themed menu! Which includes Jamaican Jerk Chicken as well as rum glazed beef tenderloin! How perfect is that!?! I feel the excitement will be high from our quests to send us off as well and that it will be a very fun event! Can't wait! Good luck if you decide to go with a Bon Voyage party!
  15. We have a similar situation. Us, and maybe 10 other people- might turn out to be less though. We are having the ceremony, and the resort we picked offers a mini reception after with cake and champagne. We also planned for a hour or 2 later to have a private dinner together at one of the resorts restaurants.
  16. I was planning to do the same thing for our wedding. I will keep my dress on most of the time, but will get prob hot and heavy toward the end. I havent had any luck as of yet, so I'm still looking.
  17. Very nice find! I might have to run to the closest one near me..
  18. We are planning to stay in the same room. Our wedding isnt until 4pm anyway, so Id probably end up bumping into him during the morning anyway. However when it comes time to get ready, I dont want him to see me/ me see him until the ceremony. One of us will just get ready in one of our friends room or something.
  19. We are also having a pre-wedding celebration. We planned to call it a "Bon Voyage" Party. There will be a reception at the resort immediately following the ceremony. But it's a nice idea to have the reception prior to going for extended family and the people in general that cannot make it to the actual wedding. We thought people might feel more apart of the celebration if we had the reception before we left.
  20. Thanks for sharing! Just bought one-shipping came to $12.97 total. Great buy!
