  1. I bought vases for my centerpieces from there. $12 for 12 vases is not too shabby, IMO.
  2. I personally dislike the idea of placecards. I think if you are doing a several-day destination wedding, there will be plenty of opportunities for people to get to know each other.
  3. I would definitely NOT ask them to pay for that. I think it would be rude, even if it is just $12. Since you decided to travel from the hotel to the beach for the ceremony, it needs to come out of your pocket.
  4. Oh, those are so cute! I've been debating what to get my MOH, so something like that might be perfect!
  5. My fiance and I were thinking about getting his best man a flask and a small bottle of his favorite liquor.
  6. I wouldn't worry about inviting her since your wedding is so small. If she invites you to hers and inquires why she wasn't invited to yours, just explain that it was super small and that only immediate family and friends came. I'm in a situation like Melidell where if you invite one family member, you have to invite them all or there will be drama. Luckily, I know for a fact that none of my extended family will be able to travel for my wedding, so I am inviting them out of courtesy so as to not hurt feelings.
  7. It is YOUR wedding, and no one should dictate how it goes except for you! It is unfortunate that your aunt is acting that way, but I agree that this could be a time for the people who can't attend to celebrate with you. I'm guessing she is upset that she is unable to go and is taking it out on you. I hope it all works out!

  10. SuzyQ, where did you find your mom's dress? That looks like something my mom would like!
  11. How exciting! Welcome to the forum!
  12. I agree with the others that the same people will probably come regardless of where you have it. Do what makes YOU happy. I have had several people try to get me to change stuff about my wedding, and I've decided that they just don't have to come if they don't like it!

  15. Any idea on where to find inexpensive but cute clothes for flower girls and ring bearers? We're paying for their outfits since their family is traveling for the wedding, but I don't want to spend a ton on kids clothes that they will outgrow soon and not be able to wear again. Also, need some opinions: Fiance, best man, and my dad are wearing tuxes. Should the ring bearer wear a tux too, or would it be ok to have him wear black pants and shirt that matches their vests? I don't want to make a little kid wear a tux for hours. Ugh, so many decisions.
