Engagement Ring Insurance
peterpanpixiedust replied to Tennyt1's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
We bought our ring from Jared. Because our ring was recently purchased, we didn't need to pay a fee to get it appraised, because the ring was recently bought, and the appraisal value and what we paid are still similar. They will send you a statement in the mail similar to the appraisal with the qualities of the diamond and what you paid which will work for insurance purposes. Jared works directly with your insurance company, and picks out your replacement diamond themselves by matching your cut, clarity, color, carat, etc (so even if the value of your diamond does go up between appraisals, you will still get the right diamond). I guess some insurance companies will try to replace your diamond with what they think is comparable (replacing an Ideal cut with a Good cut, as long as it's the same weight). They do recommend getting an actual appraisal within 5 years, and every 5 yrs after, but seriously, I will be doing mine in a year and maybe even every year after (they do free inspections every 6months too). Just thought I'd let you guys know in case any of you are Jared girls out there (btw, we had to ask for this, they didn't just give it to us). -
Thanks for the pics (i decided not to post them since everyone seemed to email, and I don't want to overload the forum) The views aren't horrible, and I will definetely not be shooting from the angle that this photographer kept shooting at. Is anyone else going to have the ceremony off center now, and are you worried it won't look right not being aligned with the isle? I keep seeing a lot of Dreams Cancun girls with the fish-eye pics.... is this the resort photog's thing or is this a new trend? I guess I'm really not digging it. I think one fish eye panoramic might be cool, but not all my pics. Other than that, the weddings were very beautiful... I hope some of those brides are on this forum and post a review soon!!

Has anyone used a Nu Bra?

I am not at all kidding when I say that removal was EXTREMELY painful, and they tore the skin under both my breasts, leaving me unable to wear a bra for several days... no kidding... DISASTER. me too... i had the ones where you use the glue. my skin ripped off with the bra. So I was scared of using one for my wedding, until I saw these. They apparently stick without adding glue. Now girls, anyone used the Nu bra padded light version? since it is padded, do you see the outline under the dress? or would the regular silicone give you enough cleavage? -
Hi again! Already posted in Nicyx's but figured I fit in here as well so might as well add to my collection of threads! Dreams Cancun baby! June 18th 2011... and am desperately waiting for a date or week twin so I have someone to possibly meet up with. I love talking to you gals here, but I'm such a concrete people person and would love to meet up with someone in the process.... am I the only one like this? I feel like everyone would just want to lock themselves away with their future hubby! I say, we already have to spend the first part of the week with family anywayz. Anywho congrats to you all, some of whom I've spoken with already!

However, Claudia was so great to get back to me right away and send me some pics of recent weddings. I feel 100% better now because it is not that bad at all once you see the gazebo setup for the wedding. It's still the most beautiful destination wedding location out there!! So if anyone was concerned about this you can relax bc it is still gorgeous! :-) I can't post the pics on here because I haven't posted enough yet to have those privledges apparantly. haha If anyone is interested, I can send you the pics that Claudia sent me if you want to see what the gazebo looks like with the new beach. You can email me at [email protected]. So excited again! haha I can't wait to get married at Dreams. We sent our deposit this week. I emailed you, and I'll post the pics for everyone if you'd like

I happen to have an artist for a BFF/MOH, so I was thinking about asking her to do a portrait of me as a 50s style pin-up girl to give to him as a wedding gift. I guess I'm just looking to surprise him! Do you think this would have the same effect as a boudoir photo shoot?? Any thoughts would be appreciated! Happy New Year everyone! That sounds totally awesome (hello early 90's lingo!), and I bet you just gave plenty of girls another option... if you don't mind them stealing...;-)

That isn't how your actual video is, it's just the highlight video (btw $300 if you want one).. it's kind of like a teaser. The actual video will flow nicer and not be so jumpy. Not blowing around her face or anything.... there's hope for me!

Just got my contract for June 18th 2011 at Dreams Cancun! Woot! Fsuambs and prettypigpig.... how did/are you guys surviving grad school. I'm am a hygienist two days a week (10-11hr days with maybe a 20 min lunch) + 45 hr commute each way, I substitute teach on the other three days, and then go to grad classes on thurs night each week for 4 hours (another 45 minute commute each way). All that plus homework and observations in the classroom (and developing lesson plans). AND planning a wedding. I figured it would be the best to have a destination and let the coordinator plan my wedding, but I'm still stressed out that I don't get to see any details until the day of. AHHHHH. And I've been sick all week. I hope it doesn't turn into a month like your fsaumbs. Any tips on how to survive it all, I'm so burned out! :-(

When people are banned, are they permanently banned, or temporarily banned? I was just wondering because someone that was very helpful to me is now banned. Can we still pm her? I'm sorry I'm asking all of this, but I did a search and all I could find on bans was what you could do to get banned. I'm always afraid that I am going to do something on accident to get banned. This site is amazing and I seriously think it was a gift from above (or TammyHost... lol) and would hate to be blocked from its addictive qualities.

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing and maybe how much you guys are paying per person? not having a wedding in Nov/Dec, but was trying to get an idea of prices if I buy 330 days in advance (earliest you can book flights) and at the time, Dec was the farthest month. On Mexicana airlines, I went to their webpage and clicked on vacation packages. 12 nights plus airfare (208 roundtrip from chicago) was a little over 3500 at club ocean front level. It was the best price I found of all the months. Probably won't get that good of a deal in the summer! Hope this helps

It does have a corset back so I know that helps but I realize it might be too long, which isnt that hard to fix anyway. Here is my dress.. It will be in white, and I should be getting it by mid to late March. Once its here I will post pics Oh my gosh that is sexy! I even like the red option ( i know u are doing white, and that will look fab!) We have to see when you get it!
