  1. Hey, does anyone know if you are allowed a wedding toss as long as its eco friendly? Did a search and found zilch!
  2. I think what matters most is what YOU want. Don't let the weather make your decision. Do you guys remember ever seeing royal weddings. The maids sometimes would stand on each side of the bride behind her holding the veil/train. You could always do that while you walk up (if it doesn't seem too pretentious) if it's too windy and while you are saying your vows, wear it long enough to sneak some pics. Then take it off. And put it back on once you get somewhere where there's a break in the wind.
  3. Welcome back TheOneDay! I'm so sorry about your loss. Hopefully now you can get lost with us in BDW!
  4. try the dreams cancun... questions thread! lots of help there. No one will probably see this post in the review section as they are looking for reviews. Hope this helps
  5. Those orchids looks so pretty in a row like that. I might have to change my idea for my hair now!
  6. Awesome review. Glad to see you have a laid back spirit (about the rain) and the weather looks so nice in the photos.
  7. thank you for the detailed review. Sorry about the weather, the WC situation, and the ceremony. I'm very glad that you loved your photography and had a nice reception!
  8. flipflop - I love my bum, but i'm still jealous that yours fits into a bottom Chipotle - your bum will look great! I know it! Depriving yourself of chocolates means taking away happiness, don't torture yourself.
  9. at least you have a little time too. I did see a cute dress in the bridal/honeymoon section on Victoria Secret. A little tube dress number. Available in a few colors. May get it for my site visit. I'm a huge clothes re-user, and a picture taker. So I have multiple photos of me in each dress... but for my honeymoon, I kind of want all new dresses for a new slew of pics. I guess I'm not being financially responsible.. but oh well. Too bad we can't do a clothes trade here. Haha!
  10. I was interested in them too, but they asked for $50 as a way to show you are serious. I heard some girls say they used other places that don't charge, so I choose not to use them. No bad reviews from me, just... why use a place that charges when there are free places. If you use a TA on here, I'm sure you will have plenty of help. I'm probably saying what everyone else has, but I thought I'd just help. Feel free to delete if this is redundant.
  11. my Ta said Secrets or Excellence were both nice AI's but I saw that they were kind of pricey, however, TA's work their magic.

  13. Question... didn't some brides get recently married? I thought I saw some Jan and Feb dates, and I think someone recently posted that they will post a review soon (a couple of weeks ago), but I have not seen any new Dreams Cancun reviews. Am I missing them? If anyone knows of any new reviews, could you post the link? Thanks!
  14. 5 days! That means I have 30-40 + five days.... ahhhh! Herefishie... i need to live vicariously through you... let's see that dress already! I'm dying over here. LOL and Good Luck!
  15. I hope to hear from you soon, I also requested a quote a couple of weeks ago and look forward to talking (emailing with you). Such beautiful work... i fell in love with Joann's wedding pics... especially the TTD's
  16. Here fishie.... amazing dress. Very nice touch with the blue beading! Ladies... I did it... I took the plunge! I sent the deposit for my TTD dress today. Knock off Amy Michelson and I swear I asked questions for about a month before I sent it in. Gianinar is who I chose. I'll keep everyone posted! http://www.amymichelson.com/popup_diamond.html here is original
  17. If you go to Slideshows | Weddings taken for Juan Navarro .... one of the newer slideshows (tabithakeith if you scroll over it and look at the address on the bottom.... looks like the 7th video) has the rocks in the background... when you are eye level with the ground, it's not bad, it's really the birds eye view that is ruined.... which sucks a lot, but is not the end of the world (at least for me). This beginning of the slideshow has the front view of the gazebo from the Isle, and you really don't see the rocks until the far right... some of the other angles have it more rocks, but I was mostly concerned about dead center, which seems better than I originally thought. Hope this helps
  18. Did I also mention that our Album will be included (one of those flush mount coffee table ones) and possible my engagement/boudoir at home? I just feel it's too good to pass up (plus it's the owners doing it and not the auxillary staff, which usually you have to get the most extensive package to get them). But money is tight! ahhhhhh, guess I have to sleep on it.. the best is that they aren't forcing us to choose now.
  19. that would be the house to go to IMO... lol. Just found an amazing photographer and videography team willing to come shoot our wedding. There packages for full day are usually around and over 2 grand each... but they want to do our wedding for cost (about 900 each) and will even shoot our TTD the day after (both of them... in the cenote underwater and on the beach later on) and possibly some of the day before our wedding just soaking up some local flavor!!!! Only problem is, they both want 4 nights each with their spouses. It's crazy.... but basically, since they are going to be away from home, and they aren't going to be making money out of us, they want to enjoy some sun on their own with their wives (and they want the 4th day because they will be shooting us for 3). What would you guys do.... all in all, if you figure in that I'm getting a full day photo and video, and a a beach/cenote video and photo shoot , and possible more which all together would probably normally cost 6 grand!
  20. If you get married at Secrets Capri, you can opt for it (can't remember the price, but way less than 3000), alot of resorts don't let you do them though. I was engaged under fireworks, so I really wanted them, but no go at my resort.
