We had to tuck my veil into the back of my dress during the ceremony to have it not blowing in my face the whole time. The pictures on the beach were a little difficult with the veil blowing all the time too, & I almost took it off. But from the pictures I've seen so far, I'm glad I kept it on. Ok thats good to know. I so badly want to have my hair down, but Im so worried about the wind. I figure half up, half down wouldnt be so bad, but you never know until you talk to someone whos actually experienced it. Thanks!

My AHR is this weekend, & we had planned on showing the DVD there. It never occurred to me to ask how long the shipping would take since there were two weeks between my wedding and AHR. The upcoming AHR is also why I haven't had time to post a review yet. Hopefully I'll have time to work on it next week & the following weekend. Feel free to visit my shutterfly site to see the pictures I've posted so far: Message I love your pics!!! Quick question, did your one bridesmaid with her hair down have any problems because of the wind? In the pics she seems like she wasnt bothered, but you never know.

I think all of my group were able to get in the tours we wanted although we had planned to do Tulum on one day & had to do it on another because it was already booked. We booked our excursions on the day we arrived. You should see if your WC can put you into contact with someone that could book tours ahead of time (I don't know if that's possible or not). We booked golf ahead of time by using the email address on the course website. My biggest suggestion in regards to the Vacation Dollars is BOOK YOUR SPA (& YOUR GUESTS' SPA) APPOINTMENTS AHEAD OF TIME. It was very hard to get into the spa to spend our $300 Vacation Dollars. With everyone getting the free dollars, the spa gets booked up fast. We were booking on Sunday (the day we arrived) & the only appointments for the week were Thursday & Saturday (maybe Friday too, but our wedding took up most of that day). I know there's a contact at Moon Palace to book ahead of time (I had booked my hair, makeup & nail appointments), so I'm sure you can get an email address for the Aventura spa from your WC or the Miami office. I hadn't thought of booking my massages ahead of time because we'd never had any problems booking once we arrived--the Vacation Dollar promotion has changed that. Overall, we LOVED the Vacation Dollar promotion & were able to take full advantage of it. Thanks Leigh!!! Im planning to have a message for me and my girls the morning of the wedding so thank you for letting me know about the spa. I would have been really upset if we couldnt get an appt the morning of. I see you have some pics available. I cant wait to see the rest!
  5. For the recently married brides: did any of you take advantage of the vacation dollars? Did any of you use the dollars to go on excursions and tours? If so, did you find that it was easy to book? Im just curious because many of my guests want to go swimming with the dolphins and do the water park and I feel like this promotion is so good, everyone will be taking advanatge of it at once and there wont be enough availability. Thanks ladies!
  6. Its been quiet!!! I know Ive been MIA because I kinda gave up on P90X Ive been doing more cardio instead to burn the fat. I didnt feel like P90 was helping me burn the fat like I need it to be. Once I slim down a little more then Ill feel better building muscle. Hope everyone else is doing better than I am!

One thing I'm not too sure about is how the vows work? Do I have to put some of my own together? Are we even allowed to? I haven't a clue about that bit and we're having a civil ceremony... any ideas? x Im not sure if it varies by resort policies, but I know that if we wanted to recite our own vows we can. We just have to give all the info to the minister. As long as they dont have to do extra work they are willing to allow us a personalized ceremony. Im just going to allow the the minister to do his thing. Im not a very poetic person so I dont want the responseiblity of creating my own vows. LOL

What else can I put? What did you do? I think people will definitely wear them during their stay. But I do agree with the other girls with leaving the name out. You want to get your moneys worth and they will most likely wear the shirt again if he didnt have your names on it.
  9. Definitely a perfect date!!! Planning is coming along. Just waiting to get all my RSVP's back so I can start putting together the oot bags. How has planning been treating you?

  13. Whoohoo! 50 room nights officially booked! 25 more to go for unlimited private functions! So exciting!
  14. Christie- Thanks for sharing your pics!!! You guys looked like you had a blast despite the hurricane. So glad you were happy with outcome.
  15. Whoohoo! Just made an appointment for July 21st. Apparently the place I made the appointment at is so popular because they are completely booked for the next 2 weeks! This must be a good sign right? Well, once I get it done I will let you ladies know how it went. Im so nervous!
  16. Thats BS!!! I truly would have stood at her counter and told her I wasnt moving until she opened that safe! I definitely would have waited for the supervisor to come back from lunch. What does this lady think her job consists of? Listening to music all day? Seriously? Im sorry you had to experience such a headache twice with this postal office. Its crazy how customer service isnt a concern anymore. SMH Have you tried ordering them from zazzle? You can customize your own stamps and get them within a few days. I have no complaints with the stamps I ordered from them.
  17. I would love to do an AHR, however, I live in Houston and ALL my family is in Jersey. Its too much for me to go back and forth to plan and organize. I invited about 162 ppl to my DW. Obviously, they all wont come, but I am expecting a large group. In order to really save money, I think the best way to go for a DW is to definitely have a small wedding.

Buffet and platted dinner services require a minimum of 20 guests. Platted dinner is offered in indoor areas only. Additional hour of staff service is $60 USD, per table Thanks!! But I still think thats way too expensive! Im just hoping I qualify for the unlimited functions. If not, I have no idea how Im going to stay with in budget. :/
  19. Wow!! Nicole those are really nice! Did you design them yourself?

Wow!!! Im thinking I could have save more $$ if I got married at home. Thanks for helping!
  22. Question: I know that it was mentioned that for a private reception there is a 2 hour open bar for guests. However, being that the resort is AI, why are only allowed 2 hours? Can guests still order drinks after the 2 hours or do we need to purchase extra time? Im confused since technically we can get drinks for free any other time during our stay. Thanks ladies!
