  1. Woo hoo!!!! 3 days until we are legally married, 32 until we leave for Mexico, and 36 until our wedding! I am so freaking excited!!! Even problems with our wedding coordinator at our resort (all 4 of them quit on one day, and I'm struggling to talk to the new one to finalize details) - cannot get me down! Like CamLovesJA said - we can just show up and it will be fabulous!
  2. I bought ours from Etsy seller inkedpapers. They are really cute round labels with our monogram on them.
  3. Hi there, I haven't received an email from the new WC either. I heard that Patricia and Sandra are no longer there, and the new WC is named Alexandria or something. She's apparently wading through all the emails, and will contact us soon. I'm going to have my TA contact the resort tomorrow if I don't hear anything...
  4. Yay! Sooooo excited! We are getting legally married in 13 days! Cannot believe how fast it is going!
  5. I wish I could help, I still havent received an email from the new WC. I tried emailing Sandra, who is another WC there, but havent heard back from her either. We have to pay our final payment mid-November, and I have some questions about changing our reception, so would love to hear from the new WC!
  6. Well you know how at weddings a lot of the time there are little gifts at the table for each guest? We are going to buy hand painted maracas from Playa when we are there, and put those at each guests seat at the table at the reception dinner...
  7. Gift bags, or OOT bags as a lot of people call them, are common for DW's. But it's entirely up to you whether you give them or not! A lot of people opt to do favors at the reception instead. We are doing OOT bags, these are what are in them: The bag itself, a canvas tote (www.cheaptotes.com) Sunscreen (SPF 30) Aloe Vera Advil Pepto Chewables Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizers Plastic 16 oz beer mugs with our monogram (teal) from ebay seller, bluebirdjeanmoore. Vinyl stickers to put on them with our monogram from etsy seller, inkedpapers. First Aid Kits Postcards (one for postcard guest book. one for themselves or a friend) Welcome Letter Luggage Tags We still might put in: Gum Tide (sink washing packets) Gatorade individual drink mix Lip balm Loofahs Playing cards Snacks Puzzle books Hope this helps!
  8. Yay! Congrats on finding your dress! I have a cathedral train, so it's very long! I think it will be fine...may get a little sandy, but oh well. I love long trains, I think it will look very pretty at a beach reception! I found my sandals at Aldo. I saw some nice white ones there in the summer, they are probably on sale now. Also, I've seen really pretty ones at Guess too. We were set on doing the private beach party reception, and up until this week we were set on it. But now due to finances, we are thinking of doing the reception at a restaurant. I'm not sure if we can though because we have over 40 people. Does anyone know if we can?
  9. I know...I don't want to panic, I'm sure it will be fine, but Patricia wrote back saying the new WC has my email and will contact me personally, but she didn't give me a name or contact email. This makes me wonder...do they even have someone lined up yet?
  10. Just got the below email from Patricia: Dear Angie Hope this email finds you well. This email is to inform you that since Thursday October 21st i`m not going to be your wedding planner anymore, i`m going to be working in a proyect in a different place, but still doing weddings in the Riviera Maya. It was a pleasure for me to get to know you at least by email, I enjoyed the time helping you planning your wedding and i`m really sad i`m not going to be present on that day. But receive my sincere congratulations and my best wishes for your wedding day and new life together. Don`t worry about the planning, everything stays as it is, there will be a new wedding planner asigned to you, who will be taking care of all the details, and she have the information of what we have planned until today. Congratulations! Does anyone have the contact information for the new WC?
  11. Ha ha, Princess... Aw, Klc30 - first of all, congrats, hello, and welcome to the December brides board! Take a deep breath, don't worry, it will all work out. The best thing about a destination wedding is that it really can be as simple, or extravagant as you make it to be. At the end of the day, the only thing that really matters is that you and your fiance are there, and getting married! Hopefully the wedding coordinator is back soon, and can answer all your questions. Is there someone there that can help you out until she gets back?
  12. Thanks so much for the review, Dreamwedding1! I'd love to see your pictures! My email address is [email protected].
  13. Here is a link for the sunset times in December... http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/astronomy.html?n=923&month=12&year=2010&obj=sun&afl=-11&day=1 We are getting married at 4 pm, the ceremony will only take 15 minutes. So we will have from say 4:30 to 5:00 for pictures, and then will get some sunset pictures. We are doing a TTD session a few days after, so will be able to get pictures in the sun then too. Hope this helps!
  14. So glad I found this thread! Such a happy one! Makes me so excited to contribute in 2 1/2 months!
  15. Thanks callamonster! I'll PM you with my address to see how much shipping would be
  16. We are thinking "Angel" by Jack Johnson...but I kinda feel it's one sided in that it is all about the woman
  17. Just received FI and his groomsmen's shorts. We got them online from JC Penny. They are really nice, the fabric is almost like linen, very light. Now to find ivory dress shirts and a coral tie for FI
  18. Hi ladies! We are getting so close, I can't believe it!
