Eeeeek, I'm a bundle of excitement! I cannot believe we leave on Sunday! Question for girls that have been married, did you provide your WC with the seating chart for dinner prior to leaving, or just give it to her at your meeting prior? Also - I think someone had mentioned Jazmin loves maple cookies? Was thinking of getting her some and just wanted to make sure I was correct.

Another bride who used her said it was a nice video to have, but it was really windy, and the sound quality wasn't that great. It just sounded like it wasn't really the style I am after. I'll try and find the video style I love and post the links on here. I get chills every time I watch them and tear up!

Abbie - I have since gotten some feedback on the quality of the video services, and I think I'm going to pass. I really love the movie-style videos of weddings they are doing these days, and I just don't think she'd be up to par with what I have in mind. One of our guests is in film school and can bring a video camera, so I think I'm going to have him video our wedding. DJ Bijan's email address is: [email protected]

Just wondering if anyone has used the resort videographer? We are really wanting to have a video to show at our AHR, and are thinking of getting the basic $500 USD package, with one camera for 3 hours. They won't have a demo ready in time for us to see before our wedding, so just wondering what the quality is like?

Does this match?
Angie1017 replied to Angie1017's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Thanks for all your feedback ladies! We were having a really tough time finding a dress that matched, so we had one custom made! Here is FI in his outfit, but he will be wearing a coral skinny tie, his groomsmen will be wearing the same thing, but no tie. And here is the groomswoman in her dress! She will wear a hair flower that matches the boy's bouts... -
We are doing a postcard guest book. We are giving each guest 2 postcards in their OOT bags, and then instructions letting them know one is for themselves or a friend, and one is for when they get home from Mexico, write on a postcard their favorite memory of our wedding, and mail it to us. Then I'm going to make a scrapbook of some sort with all the postcards

They are actually a good quality bag! I have already packed them, otherwise I'd take a picture for you! I think for sure you could fit a beach towel in them! We didn't get ours monogrammed, I just am going to put our monogram or something like "Welcome!" or "Thank You For Coming!" on cardstock and them hole punch it and tie it to the bag with a ribbon or rafia... -

Unfortunately my FMIL found them at a Michael's in Penticton, BC, so I didn't buy them! She bought them in February, so they might be discontinued? Perhaps try calling your local store and see if they can call other stores? Sorry I can't be more help, good luck! -

Thanks! We aren't bringing anything down decor-wise. We are having a reception dinner at a restaurant, and they apparently place flowers that match the centerpiece I chose for the judges table at the ceremony on the tables. Then we are having a private poolside cocktail reception, and they decorate with lights, and candles and decorate the cake table. So I'm just going to leave it up to them Less for me to worry about! At our AHR in February we attempt these for our centerpieces... And I've bought tissue paper poms to hang from the ceiling in coral, turquoise and ivory... -
Well, thought I'd do this now while I have some free time at work. We leave in 2 weeks, on December 12th, I can't believe it! We are getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum on December 16, 2010. We were supposed to be getting married at the Grand Riviera Princess, but due to the explosion that happened there, we were forced to change resorts. We feel so blessed we weren't at the resort when that happened, and my thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost their lives that day. The Gran Bahia has been amazing, and so accommodating to us and our guests. We were able to keep our wedding date, and everything has worked out for the better! So, without further adieu, my planning thread! Rings: We bought FI's ring off Etsy. It is a titanium ring, super light! Best part...only $40!!! Attire: My dress is Alfred Angelo, Sapphire collection. I've modified it a little. The back now has a lace up back, but the bows are still on. FI is wearing grey shorts we bought online from JC Penny, an RW & Co. shirt, and a coral skinny tie. His groomsmen will wear the same, but without a tie. The BM's are wearing this coral coloured dress from Bella bridesmaid. Accessories: I will be barefoot for the ceremony, and wear these sandals I bought from Aldo for the reception. I will wear this ivory flower in my hair, no veil. I bought this off Etsy. My bracelet...another Etsy purchase My mom recently bought my earrings, I will post a picture shortly. I bought this wire wedding hanger that says "Mrs. V..." to take pictures of my dress with. Bought off Etsy from seller, LilaFrances. Our ring bowl, from Paloma's Nest. Flowers: My bouquet, but the stems are wrapped with ivory ribbon and a pearl seam. I have a bouquet charm with pictures of my grandparents who have passed away. These are real touch flowers, purchased from Wedideas. BM's bouquets. They each have a silver initial pin attached. The bouts. FI's groomswoman's hair flower. Colour Scheme: Coral, turquoise and ivory. Favors: Palm fans we are putting on each guests chair at the ceremony. Bought off Etsy. We will be buying maracas in Mexico and putting them on each guests plate at the reception dinner. We have little tags that on one side will say the guests name (works as a place card) and on the other side it says "Instead of tapping on your glass, here's a system with Mexican class. Stand and shake with all your might, to see the groom kiss his bride tonight!" Gifts: BM's gifts are personalized wine glasses - bought off Etsy seller FizzyArtist, monnogrammed luggage tags from Etsy, and initial pins for their bouqets, bought off Ebay. Groomsmen will receive personalized flasks. My parents are receiving personalized handkerchiefs. They are criers, so I thought this would come in handy Paper: Invitations and thank you cards from the Anna Griffin collection at Michael's. Postcard guest book instruction card and postcard. Both made on Vistaprint. Monogram created by seller on Etsy. OOT Bags: OOT Bags purchased online from www.cheaptotes.com for $0.99 each. OOT bag contents: Sunscreen (SPF 30) Aloe Vera Advil Pepto Chewables Bath & Body Works Hand Sanitizers Plastic 16 oz beer mugs with our monogram (teal) from ebay seller, bluebirdjeanmoore. Vinyl stickers to put on them with our monogram from etsy seller, inkedpapers. First Aid Kits Postcards (one for postcard guest book. one for themselves or a friend) Welcome Letter Luggage Tags Snacks Hair: I have two styles. The first one is half down, half up and curled loosely, this is for the ceremony. I will wear my hair flower, no veil. The second is for after, at the reception. That's it so far! I will update this if I can before the wedding! If you have any questions as to where things were purchased, let me know. Thanks, and the best of luck to all the BDW brides! xoxo

Post your Hair and makeup ideas
Angie1017 replied to EDYTA's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I would like to wear my hair half up, half down, curled, with a hair flower for the ceremony and pictures after, like this... And then after for the reception, put it up like this... I'm going for my hair trial next Friday, so I'll be sure to take pics and post them here -
Aw thanks, Leanne! I am so glad I could help you out in your beginning stages of planning. A few girls on this site did the same for me, and I'm so grateful! Your wedding will be perfect, and I can't wait to hear all about it! I'll be sure to check in here after my wedding and let you guys know how it went!

I just wanted to say you are all in my thoughts and prayers, I hope your weddings work out, and they are amazing! We were forced to change resorts, and were given 4 options, and have gone with the Gran Bahia Principe Tulum. Sunquest and West Jet have been amazing and all 50 of our guests were moved over at no extra cost to them. I am bummed that after a year of planning to have our wedding at the GRP it changed in an instant, but so far it has worked out, and I am so excited to marry the man of my dreams in front of our closest friends and family. Good luck to all of you, and I cant wait to see pictures of all your beautiful weddings!
