I have the same problem. My cousin has invited her parents and another set of aunt/uncle. I wasn't planning on inviting them because there is no chance in the world I'm inviting the other aunt I do not like and their brother (aka so called dad) and didn't want to start an issue. Oh well, they can fight it out thesleves. Having an few extra people gets me closer to the 15 rooms I need to get the free wedding package. Another group my cousin invited are aware they can come to Punta Cana whenever/where ever but I'm not giving OOT bags or feeding them. I thought I would be upset if my cousin spent all her with them but I have a lot of people to be with and I know she won't disappoint me when it counts.

I think some people are adding plastic beer mugs, or coolers.

I just want to confirm that you didn't order the 12 torquoise and only the 12 red. I see the note above says (missing 12). I really would like the aqua colour that is out of stock so I can wait a few months to order the colour I want.

I know the feeling. I have a friend who had her envelope weighed and it was not over the regular weight so we bought pretty stamps to match. When she went to mail them they wanted more stamps on it because of a tiny half pearl glued inside that made it 3mm thicker so it wasn't the average size. So we had to stick 3 ugly stamps per envelope. They also charge more for different shapes, including square. Definitely have it weighed and measured before you buy stamps. Remember that personalize stamps are for standard weight envelopes as well and you may need extra postage then to.

Our colours are red and aqua so I'm ordering these colours and I'm going to put their initial in the corner incase they get mixed up.

Thanks everyone! My TA found a great deal with AC that expires this month and I wasn't sure when Westjet would come out with prices. I guess I"m just so freakn' excited! Sounds like I'll get to choose sooner than later. Just get me to the beach on time!

We're going to the Majestic Colonial in Feb 2011 and love what I've read about it so far. I'd like the adult only section at the Elegance for me and my FI but the Colonial has everything we need. This forum has a few threads for these resorts with endless information. I agree the Facebook page is great to.

Thanks. I just found out today that Westjet is confirming direct flights from my hometown which they first said they wouldn't decide until Aug/Sept. So by the end of April I can choose between the two but really prefer Westjet. My resort does cost a bit more than some so I expect that cost but so far it looks like I'll get a great price.

good plan!! It wouldn't be much of a savings to buy something at a great price and end up paying more for it.

(do you have a preference between these two tour providers) Hi Everyone and congratulations on your past or up coming wedding! I am travelling from Thunder Bay to Majestic Colonial in Punta Cana in February 2011. My TA has provided me with a price of of $1,725 including $325 tax a $115 transfer through Toronto, with Air Canada (AC). They have a booking bonus right now until March 22, which is saving about $400. They leave on Sunday's (a day later than I planned) for my Tuesday ceremony. Westjet does not have their prices out yet. They went direct to Punta Cana from my city last year which saved a bit but they will not know for a few more months so I may miss out on a great price with AC. Also if they don't go direct they'll charge a lot more than AC $115 tranfer through Toronto, unless I someone find a seat sale that will match up with getting to Punta Cana. As a bonus they leave on Saturday's. I know AC will price match but I want my guests happy. I also want to give them as much notice as possible because the booking bonus trip needs to be paid in full by Oct 31/10. I love westjet and have heard so-so things about Air Canada. I guess I'm excited about booking now with a price I like for the time of year but is it the right decision? Do you have any suggestions or stories about travelling with either? -charges for suitcases overweight -extra costs -negative or positive stories -do's and don'ts Thanks for your help! great ideas. I'll be sure to share my list after I get married. What I can say so far -use a travel agent who specializes in destiantion weddings. You have enough to deal with and they know what to ask, say and do. I prefer someone who lives in my homw town other. -get married at home first. I have more selection with days and could book sooner not having to wait for the judge. We're going to have a friend to the ceremony (the guy who set us up). We also have less paper work, translations etc to do. and it will all be in English! -OOT bags are a must. You don't have to spend a lot but I think everyone will really appreciate the effort and items thay may have forgotten to pack. -bringing my own photographer. He can take photos all week Won't do: -won't let everyone tell me how do have my wedding!!

I love my FI forever and always but that doesn't mean I'll forgive the mass of clothes on the bathroom floor every time I get home from work. He tries to hide them behind the door sometimes. Even when he wants his towel washed he'll put it on the floor instead of the hamper 8 feet away. He seems to think my finishing his sentences is rude but the guy hasn't finished a sentence on his own yet. He'll start and like a kid with ADD gets distracted by the tv and stops talking. Instead of asking or guessing, I've started to walk away because it obviously wasn't that important. Then he asks me what he wast talking about. Who has ever heard this "Hey where's the thing for that stuff?" Love him to bits thought, these are just minor compared to the sweetie he is.

Thanks for this thread. I'm having similar problems but not as serious. My cousin invited a friend of hers, yes I know her but never would have invited her. She's welcome to come but do I have to make an OOT bag for her etc. She aslo invited another family to come who were planning a trip. They for sure are not invited to wedding stuff at all. Another somewhat friend said she didn't like Punta Cana and could we go somewhere else (umm she wasn't on my guest list since she complains about still paying off the trip to my brothers destination wedding).
