  1. I emailed Kerry right away. She said brides who have booked prior to that being posted wont be required to get the tent. I imagine that will be a HUGE deterrent for other brides...I know I definitely would have completely crossed MDC off my list of possibilities when I was looking if that was there.
  2. Have any of you ladies seen the newest piece of wedding information on MDC's site? Weddings with greater than 30 guests MUST rent a tent. Cost of the tent? $500+. Are they serious?!
  3. Please PM me if the cake topper is up for grabs! Thanks!!
  4. We are going to do a "head table" with rectangular tables for the bridal party. The rest of the tables for the other guests will be round tables. I agree with your reasoning and so we're going with the best of both worlds!
  5. Thank you SO much for this tip...I have been scouring the internet for something like this to no avail. Thanks ladies!!!!
  6. I wrote that comment after I received them!...I think they are great...cute and large enough to hold everything...definitely won't last forever but are a perfect OOT bag and guests will definitely use them to tote things to/from the beach and pool!
  7. You look great in both, but I would definitely go with the Brianna...good luck~!!
  8. Hi Jessica...I am getting married @ MDC and have been thrilled with them so far. MDC and MDV aren't too far apart and can be traveled between...I have heard of other people doing this. There are long separate threads with lots of info on both Moon Dance Cliffs and Moon Dance Villas...just do a thread search and you'll easily find it. Good luck!!
  9. If we could be switched over to Anna's starfish and keep our list intact, that would be great!! Keep us posted....Thanks ladies!!
  10. thanks for the awesome tip!! Just ordered 4 pairs!! Hoping the color "emerald" is more blue than green as it looks on the website!!
  11. I wrote the following on our website under the FAQ section: Must we stay at Moon Dance Cliffs? It is highly encouraged. All wedding-related celebrations will be taking place here. You may stay at other locations, but please be aware there is a hefty fee for a "day pass" to come on to the Moon Dance Cliff's property if you are not staying here. In all honesty, if people decide to stay elsewhere, we will probably pay for their day pass unless there are a LOT of people and we can't afford it...I just decided to write this on the website to "highly encourage/pressure" people to stay at our resort lol...Also, we are hosting an event each of the 4 days, so we would only pay for people who chose to stay elsewhere for the night of the wedding...they would either have to miss out on the other 3 days or fork out a lot of extra money...I think and hope everyone will just plan to stay at MDC!!
  12. Thanks for sharing!! Any idea how long the sale will be going on??
  13. They are beautiful!! Make sure to post final pics with the ribbon and rhinestones !!
  14. Wow, I think the fact that this isn't your true wedding is completely irrelevant...as a vendor she is hired to do exactly as you wish. Whether you hire her for a birthday party, wedding, small photo shoot, or AHR, she should just do her job and take your pictures!! Good luck, hope it all sorts itself out!!
  15. dazzliing4.. WOW!! Your pictures are absolutely out of this world!! SO HAPPY to hear you had such a great time...please share more pics once you get them back, the ones you posted so far are stunning!! congrats!!

Anyone want to chime in with their experience? Love, hate, or somewhere in between? This is the only photography option offered to me by the resort without flying in a photographer. I have seen several raves on here of brides who used Digital Memories and loved them...I considered using them, as they are very affordably, but decided against it for the reasons you stated. I wanted my wedding pics to be more candid and true to the feel of the wedding. I think it comes down to personal taste and what you want out of your wedding pics. If you aren't thrilled by their sample pics you saw, I wouldn't go with them, because your pictures will be very similar! Good luck!!
  17. Congrats and happy planning!! My wedding is in Jamaica also, not too long after yours!! Best of luck :-)

Thanks for the answer...true about brochures at the airport...I'll be snagging last minute OOT bag fillers right off the plane like a lunatic! lol
  19. Hi, was just wondering where you got the free Maui Maps...I've been looking for something similar for Negril but I've found nothing...thanks for any info you can share!!
