  1. Awe!! Congrats!! I am sure your grandfather felt honored to be there...so awesome...BTW, your grandfather looks absolutely fantastic for 97!!

Last week when we there a big group of our friends stayed at the Moon Dance Villas property and they are gorgeous as well! After seeing the resort i am excited to start all of my planning! So happy to hear you liked it! Where is the reception held there? I need to find out details from MDC...like do they provide centerpieces and table cloths and runners etc. Do you happen to know? I'd love to hear any info you can provide, as I haven't been set up with the WC yet!
  3. I agree with Shae! It would be cute to have them on the glasses...are you having a champagne toast or anything of the sort?
  4. I'm going the DIY route myself...fun to make..and you'll have it exactly how you want it!!
  5. Ugh! HOW RUDE!! Judging by your siggy picture, I'd say he's jealous he wasn't there...You look Gorgeous and Happy!! Who cares what grumpy gus thinks!!
  6. I'm planning on doing bags for the kids filled with things to keep them occupied (ie. coloring books and crayons and small toys). I figured they'd like this better than an item they can't do much with!
  7. I searched for the best deal possible for everyone (I'm on a budget, too!). For our 4-day wedding weekend and airfare, our guests will probably be spending around $1,000 per person...I thought that was amazing! Generally speaking (I know there are some financial exceptions), The people that want to be there will find a way! Good luck

15 years! Wow!! Congrats and happy planning!!
  11. Congrats...you will LOVE this forum!! Everyone is wonderful!!
  12. Sounds gorgeous!! Everything sounds elegant and amazing...and our cake plans are pretty much identical. I'll keep an eye out for your planning thread, I'm so excited to see everything!!
  13. OMG poor little pup in the cast...looks like he really enjoys it haha. Speedy recovery!!
  14. Looks good! My fiance insisted that his name should go first on everything...so it has. I figure the least resistance I put in over menial things like that will give me more power over stuff I actually care about :-) lol
  15. I agree with gbyrd...I am also getting married at MDC. We originally were looking at other chain resorts but quickly axed them off our list for a few reasons: 1. Photography--we didn't want to be forced to use a resort photographer, pay a ton for a package, and only get 40 sub-par photos. Pictures are all you have after the day is over so this wasn't ok with us. 2. Onlookers--at chain resorts, it's inevitable that you'll have other guests who gawk at your wedding. I've seen pictures on here from brides who had absolutely gorgeous setups on the beach...then you look in the background and see 10 half-naked fat men standing watching the ceremony...not exactly romantic! lol 3. At a boutique resort, you're pretty much the only people there so it's all about you!! There's nothing like having an entire resort for you and your guests!! Good luck and let us know what you decide!!

  17. Have you decided yet? Hoping you go with MDC so I have someone to plan with :-)
  18. My wedding is August...which is included in the span on months 'not to go'...with my grad school and work schedule, we literally didn't have a choice--but I'm terrified and hoping for the best! I can handle a rain shower or two, but a hurricane would not be okay! lol
  19. I'm sure you look beautiful...but just remember that the magic of your wedding day, the hair, the makeup, the anticipation all rolled in to one will make you feel as gorgeous as you look!!
  20. Welcome to forum...sounds like you have awesome ideas for your vow renewal! Good Luck!!
  21. I would skip the STDs...they're really for sending out quite early to give people a 'heads up'...no reason to send a heads up with an invitation coming a week later...just send out your invite a bit earlier than you may have planned. Good luck!
