Girls I went to Zumba last night it was FANTASTIC!! Loved it!! & the music really got me back into looking forward to the wedding, for those of you who haven't tried it I definitely recommend I was sweating like a gooden!! I came home so happy that I spoke to Richard about the MIL thing & he has said that he isn't going to contact his mum was just feeling a little bit peed off that she should be a normal mum & under normal circumstances should be there. So for the moment all is quite on the western front......phew!! Michelle has your MIL got a long lost twin by any chance she sounds the double of mine!!!!....lol Char hope your FI's brother comes around & apologises, why do people want to make the whole thing so much more stressful!!!! Has everyone decided on what flowers they are going to have?x

Girls I know I have said this many times before but 'THANK GOD FOR YOU LOT'!! I have just got in to work feeling really miserable about the wedding....more on that in a minute.....& then I read all your posts, I have laughed out loud & nearly cried as well!! Makes me feel like I'm not the only mentle case around!! Ok, Jo, firstly your wedding photos are amazing, the one of you on the stairs looking up at your children brought a tear to my eye so sweet, I know they have the devil in them, I am already trying to prepare for my 3 year old ruining the day, but in the photos they look in angelic!! Your review has had me laughing out loud 'him shim'.....hahahahaha I don't know how you coped with all the dramas but I don't suppose you have much choice do you once your in the sitution, at least all turned out great in the end & getting shitface is definitely my plan!! xx Roo - hysterical!!!!....hahahaha.....wailing like an iranian woman!!!! nearly bloody wet myself, guys in my office are asking what I'm laughing at!!!! & a RAT!!!!....WTF??.....lol sounds like a sketch out of a carry on film......nibbled bits of diamonte.......am so laughing!!!! Michelle - On Friday I was going to post almost the same thing, outwardly I am telling everyone how excited I am but really I am not at the minute. A bit similar to your situation, as you know we don't talk to his witch, sorry mum, at all however he has started saying that he thinks his mum of all people should be at the wedding!!!! WTF.....In reality he is right, every mum should be there, but that is if they aren't effin Satan!!!! I know it should be his decision but in short I have told him that if she goes I don't!!!! She has done far too much for me to forgive her, including upset 'our' daughter. He feels that too but after having a huge row about it all with him saying 'its alright for you its not your mum' to which I nearly left home as said 'don't ever f***in compare my mum to yours'.....we are now just not talking about it. So now what? Like you I don't want to bring it up again to have another row!! I can't back down on this as will not go if she is back on the scene but don't want him to marry me with regrets. I went bridesmaid dress shopping on Saturday with my mum, couldn't tell her what had been going on, so had to pretend everything was ok, really thinking 'this could all be a big waste of money!!!!'.....bloody mother in laws...& the supid old bag would be loving all this, us arguing over her...ggrrrrrrrrr I actually HATE her!!!! & breathe............... Oh Michelle the place I got the box from is www.lifememoriesbox.co.uk but did from ebay.....at this rate though you can have my box.....lol.....as I have been typing this he has just sent me a text saying 'I really love you even though you have been moody'....me f***in moody???? God sometimes I wonder how we ever got together we are so different!!!! Rant over, think I need to go back & read Jo's & Roo's posts again to make me laugh again!!

Hi ya, I have hired a DJ for our poolside reception & he isn't the resort one. I checked with Jazmin my WC in resort & she confirmed this was ok. The DJ I am using is DJ Bijan from Mayan Vibes, he does a lot of the weddings at GBP which is why I booked him as back through this thread there have been some great reviews about him, he is originally from Canada so is english speaking which I think helps when requesting music. You can also email him a list beforehand of all the songs you definitely want played & he'll find them for the party. His contacted details if you want to see if he can do your wedding are [email protected]

Got Richards documents all posted off for translation today as well & going Lakeside on saturday to try some shoes on 2 bridesmaid who are 11 & 12....they are desperate to wear a heel......so it all seems like I'm getting somewhere at the minute......what do you think of the shoes girls?.....truthfully do you think they are suitable for 11 &12? I am also dreading Harrison kicking off on the day.....he is so daddy sick as well I can imagine getting married with him in Richards arms!!!! Jo - Can't wait to hear the full story on your wedding!! I think I would've had a complete meltdown!! but as someone else said at least your day will be memorable Nicy we are the same on a AHR, we weren't going to do one due to finances but now I really want to show off my dress to all those that aren't coming so might look for somewhere local & see what we come up with. Char - As I said on FB so happy for you, it is the best feeling when you have found the one!! & great news on the caterers. Well have just found out that as Richard has had his name changed back to his mums maiden name by deed poll we have to have his birth certificate & deed poll certificate stamped by the foreign office £59 & then translated into spanish £231!! Another expense........I go from feeling excited to nervous about where all the money is coming from.......still got so much to buy & thats without spending money, I know its all inclusive but we still want to do some trips etc On a plus more & more people seem to have decided to come with us since the New Year & up to today we have 48 booked!!!! Which I can't believe, so many people wanting to spend our day with us is lovely

Roo - Sorry to hear you have been down....I know I will have the wedding blues for sure, I have already been saying to my friends I don't want the day to be over & we are still 4 months away. I have just enjoyed planning & getting all excited so much I don't want it to end!! Char - So happy that your plans are coming together & how lovely is that of your friend to let you have the venue for free. Can I ask what ebay shop you got your flower girl dresses from? They are lovely!! Nicy - Edinburgh woop woop!!!! I need to still think about what I am going to do. God I wrote another list last night, I swear everytime I do it it just gets longer everytime!! Michelle I am with you on the boob job, I am just pathetic!! Maybe we could do a buy one get one free what dya think? lol ....I did my workout dvd 3 times last week & couldn't walk down the stairs the next day, legs were bloody killing me.....but hey no pain no gain!!!! Well I have ordered our cake topper today, if any of you want something a little bit different there is an ebay shop called laceyling that do some fantastic ones. Richard loves Superman so we are having Superman carrying Lois Lane it is really cute & just something a bit different than the usual. They do so many different ones!! There is even Shrek & Fiona which I am considering if I don't shift some weight!! lol

We had Jays car break down just before xmas and that cost us £700 which we wasnt happy about But on the bright side I went and picked up my dress today and tried on MY dress. I had tears in my eyes when I put it on it fitted really well, just needs adjusting around the bust. It's now at my mums house in the spare room, i just want to keep putting it on!!! I also was looking at tiaras and found one which looked just right and my mum brought it for me, what do you think?

We do pay an insurance with british gas that will pay us back what it cost us to stay at the Mariott but as for the cost of the boiler because it was over 7 years old they don't cover the cost. They do give us £200 towards the new one though which I suppose is better than a kick in the teeth. Am just trying to stay positive as now they have started work on the house today & I know we will have to pay the money this week it has just hit me how much we really can't afford it along with the wedding as well, it is going to eat most of our savings. My mum & dad are saying that they will help us & £2000 is nothing compared to our lives which is true but there is no way I am taking any money off of them they have already helped us so much with the wedding bless them. On what to get Harrison I am no help sorry honey.....have been sat here racking my brains but can't think of anything for a 13 year old!!!! bloody useless I am....lol. A car for the 1 year old is perfect though.

Good Luck Jo will be thinking of you, can't wait for you review!! Char - So happy for you & it definitely seems like you've made the right decision for you two, definitely keep popping in us ladies like to hear about all weddings....good luck!! Well ladies I have not been on in a while, have been popping in & catching up from time to time but with Christmas haven't really been doing anything weddingy!! But now its THIS YEAR!!! OMG!!!! Am so so so so so so excited!! Really need to crack on now, more so with sorting this body of mine out, its alright in the dress it pulls it all in but the next day people will be like 'wheres the bride gone?' 'that can't be her surely'!!.....hahahaha!! We had a bit of a drama two days before new year, we came back from being away at my mums for Christmas & walked into a major smell of gas, I took the kids back out while we waited for the emergency gas & when they got there they found our boiler was leaking gas. They then put on the carbon monoxide detector & it was at 1400ppm which basically means if we had gone to sleep in the house we wouldn't have woken up.......& if it wasn't for the gas leak which we smelt we would've never known we had the carbon monoxide leak as that has no smell!! How lucky are we....it really shook me up thought kept thinking what could've been & more so for the kids. The house got shut off & we had to go & stay at the Marriott hotel for 5 days!! Today the new boiler is being fitted & new pipes for £2000!!!! Bloody great 4 months before wedding, freaking disaster!! But hey we are all ok which is the main thing........thank god!x How is everyone else? Where are we all with plans?x

Hi Amie, My wedding is booked for 2nd June 2011 - Tulum & I am from the UK.......the most stressful time was looking around all the different travel agents trying to get prices. I bounced each ones price off of the other until eventually got the best price from Cooperative Travel, who booked through First Choice. With them you just book the Gran Bahia Principe Resort state which wedding location you want......the wedding coordinator in resort then allocates you to whichever part of the resort it is....in my case I am booked into Tulum as I wanted the Gazebo. I have emailed Jazmin my full guest list....46 of us...& she is going to do her best to get us all on the Tulum side however it wouldn't be major if some guests were in Coba or Akumal. It is true that you have to be staying at the side you want to get married in Gazebo is Tulum, Beach Hammocks is Akumal & you can have either of the wedding locations if you stay at Coba but you do have to bare in mind with Coba that if you wanted a specific date & time of your wedding say at Tulum, & a bride actually staying in Tulum wanted that same date & time they would get preference over you staying at Coba.....hope I haven't confused you......lol Any other info feel free to pm me, I have asked a million questions since we booked 7 months ago!!......p.s welcome to the forum I would be absolutely lost without it!!

OMG Couldn't believe when saw the new on the explosion in Mexico......how awful, can you imagine how those poor families feel!! & the other couple in South Africa that got kidnapped & the wife shot!!....world really is a scary place. On a happier note we had three more guests book yesterday which was a total surprise, Richards cousin, wife & daughter. Really happy for Richard as the other 40 guests 32 of them are either my family or my friends & it means that we will have an extra bridesmaid which will be the only one from Richards side, so am really happy I'm starting to panic though at minute....everything is mounting up money wise & Christmas on top of it!! Might have to sell my body that would make me an extra river....lol
