Frankly, heaviest I think are the flip flops and mini sunscreen we got oh,and we also got nail kits, so these add weight.. otherwise everything is pretty much light. Since we're going with west jet, it's only $20 per extra bag ... which is not bad.

We're getting married on the 15th (Thursday). We were originally scheduled to arrive on Monday (12th)evening, but our flight got changed to Sat 10th... I'll be there for five days prior to getting married.... well - it gives us 5 days for stag and staggetting LOL

Hutchets.. how come you had to pay extra for the people above 10? In the contract I received it said I can have guests up to the capacity of the resort in the free pkg, but need to get extra wine/cake if I choose to....

I bought my organza sashes for the chairs during ceremony plus satin table runners for dinner at weddinglinnensdirect. I have 40 sashes and 11 runners. They weigh maybe 2.5lbs. Which is nothing and cost me less then $50 plus shipping. Compare that to $5/chair at the resort. You can always put those in someone else's bag to bring down in case you have a lot of things with you. Renting is a risky option, because if you don't bring it back, loose it, rip it etc etc, then you're on a hook for them. But if you pay under $100 for everything to have as your own, you're not worried about ruining it or forgetting it etc. If you consider bringing chair covers - I'd suggest to just pay the resort for that. The weight and cost for extra luggage would come out to be the same.

I would try and reach out.. it is your sister, so it's worth being the bigger person. If things don't improve, I would ask if she is still up to the honour of being your MOH. The ball is in her court then and ask to give you an answer as you need to find a 'witness'. I know it sounds very harsh and rather rude, but what is a bride to do ?

I didn't want one either. figured we've lived together for 8 years now, we don't need anything. My MOH said she's giving me one - ok ... do I have to come LOL (Yes - I actually asked HAHA). She decided she will do a 'wishing well' for me (something along the money tree). I know asking for $ is tacky, but that would help us in getting the dyson vacuum or new tv. So I went along with it, and now I'm actually excited. She's doing beach theme, so no silly bridal games... we'll have games like hoola hoop (who can do it longest and similar. No dress making out of toilet paper, no gift opening and silly ribbon hats...otherwise I'm not coming LOL (bridezilla or what LOL)

I heard back on the steaming services. None provided at the hotel, but you can arrange with a local place for $75US which includes pick up and drop off. I'll let you know what she says about the mic.

Ladies, I noticed that a lot of the ceremonies are done without a microphone? Can the guests actually hear anything? I've emailed the resort to ask, but still waiting for an answer and curiosity is just killing me lol... Also- do you know how much the services cost to get the suit and dress ironed/steamed?

We'll be 'using' my parents' and brothers' suitcases to pack some of the things as they always travel light. They already agreed. We have checked with the airlines as well, and depending on what airline you're flying, you can have 2nd bag for anywhere between $25-$70. We're not taking that much with us, but we will def. need the 2nd bag just because of the weight. We have originally thought to take the notebook/pads/stickies we got off vistaprint with us, but decided at the end, that we give those who have booked, which would exclude a lot extra luggage weight. Since we'll be down there for 5 days prior to the wedding, if we need something extra, we can always try to find it at the store.

I went to two stores today - what a difference. I asked in the first store if there is a limit (playing stupid lol), and she said, that I can take as many as I want, but they will only be able to scan 5 at a time. I had to go the the 2nd one because I was missing a pair in certain colour and size. In the 2nd store, they told people who had more than 5, that they will not be able to get them. And the 2nd store wasn't even busy. So I got away with 20 pairs at one store, and although wanted one at the 2nd, walked away with 3. Not bad...

I wonder if it's the same for Mississauga ON. well, there is 3 around my house, and I need to get 15 pairs LOL

Ladies, I'm on the other end of the rope. I have lost quite a bit of weight (60lbs) and the heck a lot of inches. I ordered by dress in April and because I wasn't sure if I will loose more, we ordered based on current measurements (April's). The dress came in two weeks ago, it was too big. I was at my mom's house yesterday, and we tried it on just because we felt like it. HOLY COW - my dress looks like an oversize window drape. There is no win/win in the dress ordering drama. I think they do something with the dreses (LOL) so the seamstress can make $ too )))

You will find that most airlines will have a minimum of 10 people, and you require 1 person to handle the booking. My suggestion is that if you find the rate you like, call/email people that are going; tell them what it is, and the cut off date to book. Have them send the money to you by then. Airlines will usually give you anywhere between 24hours to 1 week before they let the booking go.
