Wow! That's great info on the contest. I continuously am trolling blogs looking for contests for photography, venue, catering, florists, different things like that. There are many of them out there and I try to participate any chance I get. I haven't won anything as yet, but you know what they say, "you have to be in it to win it". Definitely, will check this one out. I think this was the perfect place, cause so many of us on here are looking for ways to save money and budget appropriately. Thanks a lot!

Thanks for the info. I am actually signed up with them and I think about every other legal temp agency. It has just been a waiting game and hoping that someone has some temp work available. I got a couple one day gigs from another agency. I just keep sending them emails or calling just as reminders so that they know I am still looking! You ladies rock!

Hey Ladies, I'm Aisha and I'm from Maplewood. I guess when I started thinking about weddings and marriage I automatically wanted a DW because I love to travel, and it was while I was traveling that it first came to me, I wanted to get married at Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria Germany. I fell in love and wanted to get married. I soon got real and knew that wasn't happening cause you could afford it. But since then I've had the thought in my min and well now here I am. But I agree with everyone it is just too expensive to get married in NJ. My sister got married here and she paid $40K for her wedding and that was five years ago, and I agree with Jerseykitten, my mother would want to invite the states of NJ, NY and CT. (LOL)

Lol! Thanks Sunstarmoon, I didnt think of it that way but you are right, I will also be approaching a "big" birthday so it would be good that the wedding will keep my mind off of that. Way to go, kudos!

@ Everyone thanks for all of the advice and words of wisdom it really helps. @ krizstyling, I know exactly what you are speaking about, I have been out of work for almost the same time that you have been and I am not getting any unemployment. My FI had to pay my student loans last month. It is so ironic that I have racked up so much in student debt but I can't get a job, thank God I have him cause he has helped me out of some very serious situations where bills and the like are concerned. I also agree with you that I feel like things are a little bit more harder over here. I went to law school in WA and my friends all have jobs, some of them were laid off and most of them are now employed again, and this is within a three month period. I've been unemployed since last June and nothing. But I just keep praying to God for faith and patience that I can just continue believing and knowing that I will get a job soon. It's like you said richer or poorer... Well, at least we have this forum where we can share our stories and lift each other's spirits and share our knowledge to make the burdens lighter. I hope that the project works out for you and that you get this gig. Anything helps, I know!

Oh thanks for the all the tips, I am definitely checking it out. I'm making notes so the next time FI is in town, we can see how many we can visit!
