This is a good sign for future brides that management is making a trip to Michigan! May not help us girls whose weddings are so close but oh well, something needs to be done. I have to say, I don't know what I'd do without this forum!! Its kinda scary to think about because I've gotten so much info on here its unbelievable. I'd be lost without BDW!!!!

I think that is ridic to have a minimum number for the reception and if you have a couple less than the min, I would think they'd let you keep it. If they do bump you to a restaurant Im not sure about the dance floor/music but you will get the same menu I believe. I got a diff menu for my welcome dinner because I asked for it so anything is possible. They will do anything to make you happy, I guarantee it!!

Thank you so much Natalie for the review. So helpful! I just turned in my menu choices and we are doing the Classic wedding with upgraded private reception. Our salad/app choices were different but oh well. Seems that I picked what you picked for entree and dessert, good to know they were good!

So I am doing the classic wedding package so my menu is a little different. I chose Red snapper (seafood stuffed) and beef fillet with mushroom sauce as my two entrees. My salad will be spinach souffle (hmm not sure about this one but oh well) and dessert (thanks to jesmcan) will be chocolate shell with fruit. . mmmmm! For my welcome dinner we are doing salmon with lemon sauce, cream of corn soup with cilantro (highly recommended by another poster-sorry I forgot who!) and dessert will be vanilla cake with kahlua. Guests wont get a choice here . . too much work and everyone loves salmon in my group

I say switch it up. If your ceremony is on the sand, go to the grass or somewhere outside. Do not do inside, imo, you're in mexico!! Then go back to the sand after your reception if you miss it, Im sure there must be a bar set up on the beach, right?

I checked out Jamaica before booking Mexico. I personally realy liked Sandals Negril but they are kinda expensive. Beaches is also very good! Congrats and good luck!

I just can't decide if I want to bring chair sashes and table runners. You can find them so cheap online but I just don't want to haul everything down there, Im all for easy travel!! LadyDi, are they pretty compressable and do they take up much room?
