We did our semi-private reception at Maria Marie and it was really nice. There's a small area to the right when you walk in that's partly walled off from the rest of the diners and they put us there and it felt very private. Sorry you had such a bad experience ssantos78! I will say to any future brides, do not even bother asking who can come to your room. I kept getting different answers so I just met the 5 people I wanted in my room at the gate between the Royal and the Gran Caribe and walked them up to my room myself. We ordered room service for all of us and no one cared if they were Royal guests or not. Our delivery guy even saw that we were getting ready for a wedding and brought us a bottle of champagne and a bucket of beer

We just got married on Saturday and everything was wonderful! Everyone was happy with their dinner...except for my brother who I am sure would have preferred a hamburger my advice is don't stress about anything because once you get here everyone is great and will make sure all goes amazingly well!

Thank you! The funniest part of all of this is that on 9-15 they emailed me telling me that they really weren't going to get the shoes and that they were going to refund my money to my credit card. AFTER all that!!!

 I'm getting married at the Royal in Cancun. You can pick two main courses but you have to have colored cards or something at the dinner so that the waiters know which person gets which entree. And you have to tell htem how many of each beforehand. Â

Do you think she'd count as a vendor though? I mean maybe if the person taking your pictures has a hotel wristband on then they'd just assume she is a friend?

 there are two different gazebos. one is off the royal's pool and the other is between the hotels and is really on the caribe side.

A lot of people have had trouble with Advantage Bridal (including me!) so beware. Just search the forums here or do a google search to see reviews.

Don't order from Advantage Bridal! They SUCK!!!! Â I placed an order 7-28 for two pairs of shoes. On 8-20 I called them to check on the status of the order and was told that the shoes had no estimated arrival date. I was told this meant that they weren't sure if the manufacturer was going to make any more. I was advised that I should probably cancel my order. I said to cancel it and the rep told me that I should receive a credit in about 3 weeks. On 8-26, I received an email telling me that the shoes had an arrival date of 9-15 and that if I wanted to continue with the cancellation that there would be a charge of $10! I called their 1-877 number to find out what was going on and the woman who answered just kept telling me that their policy is to charge $10 for a cancelled order. I did read that in their FAQs but I wouldn't think that would apply in a case when they didn't know if your order was ever going to come in. In any case why did they wait 6 days to tell me about it? And why do the shoes suddenly have an arrival date? Â Since then I've received 3 emails from 3 different reps telling me that I CANNOT cancel the order even if I pay $10. So now I'm suck with 2 pairs of shoes that I don't need. There's never been any explanation of why I was told on 8-20 that my shoes weren't coming in or why I was told on 8-26 that I could cancel when I can't! Â And this whole situation could have been avoided if I'd been told on 8-20 that my shoes were on order and would arrive in time!!! Â I would not recommend ordering from this site.
