(this was the strip kind) with semi-permanent, be careful to not bend, tug or pull on the extensions when putting contacts in/taking out, other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. had them on a cruisie last year, snorkelled (carefully putting on mask), swam, sauna, steam room. they held up quite well. i think the sealant from the lash salon i purchased to put on them everyday helped. At first a couple lashes seemed to have shifted after swimming but i was told if that happened to just put them back and let it reset. was totally fine after. hope that helps =)
  7. Congratulations on your engagement! There's so much info here to help you plan your dream wedding =) Happy planning!
  8. Welcome! I'm getting married there next May! Check out the Royal thread - tons and tons of info there to go through, but it will definately answer alot of the FAQ =) Happy Planning!
  9. thank you! i was really starting to worry that i had bombarded guests with info and it would turn them off. But if I didn't put it in there, i would be afraid first time travellers would not be prepared.
  10. we're not doing OOT bags either - we're already stretching our budget, we figure most people would bring most things we were thinking to put into them. we don't have a huge amount of ppl going, so we'll probably put together a small hangover kit (maybe). the baskets you plan to put out are a nice gesture your guests would appreciate. It's so easy to go over budget with this wedding stuff! you will thank yourself later for not going over on the knick knacks =)

She said that if prices drop, we can adjust the rate once Has anyone else been required to put down deposits to hold the quote?? I feel like I need to frantically send out STD's to inform my guests! Also... what about guests who still dont know for sure if they will be able to come? I feel like they are being forced to make a huge decision very rushed! yes, it is a bit of a rush, we have less time than you - 21 days as the rate was limited time, our TA set us up with a rate/info sheet that we used in place of STDs. i did send out a "rates are coming soon" email to everyone last month preparing them that rates will come at any moment and a deposit to be due. so far we're moving along, we're got about 8 out of the 10 rooms required by the company for a group and our last day is June 15. we figure worse case, we'll just put the deposit down for the remaining rooms, let the ones who have told us they really aren't sure know that we have ## amount of rooms held at the group rate, and it goes to whoever deposits first. Unfortunately all others thereafter will have to book at prevailing rates at the time they decide. so it kind of depends on the company you're booking with but it's better to get the info out to your guests asap so they can see the pricing =)

  17. quick questions for past symbolic ceremony brides: - does the ceremony look "real", i'm concerned guests will figure our that it's symbolic.... should we provide something to sign to make it more "real" or does the resort have something like that prepared? - how much organza or tulle should I purchase to decorate their huppa?/chuppah? (on the beach) I'm guessing around 25 yards per colour. I emailed my WC, but I think she's busy with setting up Mexico...I tried searching through here already but didn't find specific-to-this-resort answers, so i hope it's okay i ask. thanks!

  21. hi tricia, congrats on setting a date and chosing a location! perhaps try doing a search under the "Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas" for your resort? there's tons of info here for you to search thru and look up to help answer most your questions. happy planning =)
  22. don't worry! i'm sure in one way or another other brides here went through the same thing. i know i did, but at the end of the day, it's what the 2 of you want. it's easier said than done (i'm still working on it myself) but with a DW, realize there will be bumps along the way, but with some TLC, you can work through things without too many hurt feelings. perhaps look at other locations in a more affordable for all price range? then honeymoon in st. thomas? take care!
