uuuggghh tomorrow is THE DAY, we're going to talk to them about this whole mess. when i think about talking about this with them, my head hurts but some of my vistaprint stuff arrived! yay! YUP. if they don't plan to pay for it - we're not going through with it. if they think it's too expensive THEY should take a loan out for it. WTF is RIGHT. thanks everyone. i'll let you know how this goes down. ugghh, after this i might be one of those ppl who doesn't like going to their in-laws......

It took me a couple days to teach myself adobe illustrator, but I think I've done one that's good enough to post that's not embarrassing! Please let me know what you think I'm thinking it might be a bit busy, but after doing 3 really plain ones then scrapping them, I think this is as good as it's going to get. I'm not sure whether of not names should be more centred or if those palm trees look weird just hanging in mid-air... Any suggestions would be great! Thanks!

thanks so much ladies!!!!!!!! i'm still a bit down today but better than last night! Reading your kind words has definately picked me up. my FI says we'll sit down and discuss all this with them this weekend....i'm dredding it. i have to remember to stay calm. yes, i definately don't want to go into married life in debt with a loan! we do okay for ourselves, but okay means that we were budgeted for our DW! we don't have $25K to spare for a party! i almost think this AHR is their way of "showing off" and parade us around like show dogs to their relatives....i know i shouldn't think that but the way they were parading us around at their neice's wedding was a preview. as for receiving cash gifts, they are the norm with asian weddings, but we're not sure how much of that we can actually count on....and don't want to screw ourselves over. uuugh, there i go getting upset again....well, i'll let you know how it goes....thanks again...

my future in laws were very adamant about having the large, 250 guest asian banquet in town. they sulked, called and compalined for months until they said they would pay for the food portion of it - but wanted a "real" wedding reception feel to it, so we said fine, we'll do it and have favours, photographer maybe a dj and dance floor if we can afford. BUT NOW months later, after going to their niece's wedding and finding out they borrowed money from the bank to have thier reception, they sugest WE do that to pay for ours because it's expensive.....WTF this is the AHR THEY wanted... i'm so upset, i can't believe it. i'm so stunned to hear this from my FI just now. i don't know where we're going to find the money, from what i gather, it's going to be another $25K on top of whatever knicknacks we were paying for. i'm contemplating on just paying them back the deposit for the restaurant and cutting our loss there. but my FI doesn't want to do that because now tons of ppl are expecting it including relatives from out of town. i can't believe it. i'm speechless, upset and worried. i'm so worried about this whole thing i can't even cry. just when i was feeling "on top" of the planning. *vent vent vent* thanks ladies...

we're trying to decide between keeping with a semi-private reception or just spring for the private reception....i got tempted from looking at photos from the ladies here that did the private receptions... we don't have a huge amount of guests, so would it look "bare" if we had a private reception? we want some dancing, and i don't there is any with a semi-private reception, so we figure we would go to the Blue Parrot after the reception, but then realize that could mean a late night for us as our guests are party people and heavy drinkers and we have aTTD the next morning.... so we thought with a private reception, we have some dancing without partying too late... i've been back and forth between the 2 types, but don't want to take too long in case something gets booked. any suggestions?

I ended up doing truffle (dark brown). I could not decide with the watermelon or clover...my sister ended up trying the brown one on because it was in her size. After seeing it on her, my vision all came together in my mind with flowers & using brighter colors as accents. So, I casually started looking at dresses while everyone was getting measured. I really had no intentions on even trying one on and then I ended up trying on a few. It's completely true that you know as soon as you put it on. I'm pretty much a plain Jane and didn't want anything too fancy. So, here it is: Chiffon Split Front A-line - David's Bridal I'm bummed because I didn't have my camera with me and my cell phone pics didn't turn out the best. I'll try to post it later. that looks like a lovely dress! you really never know until you try it on and get "the feeling". yes, please do show us your BM dresses, truffle with bright accents sound great, what colours were you thinking? =)

So my question is this is costing about $114 pp and is part of my TA's package...is this really necessary? Our TA also gave us a "cancel any reason" insurance - $99 with medical and baggage, etc. We're definately recommending our guests picking it up, or some sort of insurance if they prefer from another provider. At the very least - just medical becuase a couple years back, our friends went to Mexico and all 4 ended up At the hospital with e.coli inbalance! Thankfully they got their money back from insurance or it would havebeen a hefty bill for them! Perhaps it might be good to shop around a bit and compare policies from different providers?

Any Laser Hair Removal Experiences?
rosieposie replied to rosieposie's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
My bikini sessions are better now - but still hurts in certain areas... Before the new HST tax hit treatments, I got myself a package od 4 underarm treatments. Hopefully it's not as painful, but I have a feeling it'll be the same. -

You upload your image and than just copy the code into your post where it says IMG code for forums etc. I did not know this until a few months ago lol. I can't remember who but it was actually a bride from the royal that showed me how I agree I think things are really still a bit crazy. They are probably starting to get the brides sorted out whose weddings are coming up. However how long can the excuse of being hectic keep coming up? I would def give them a call the way ChicagoBride did and take it from there. At least than you can get the link to that website and upload all your stuff. i agree with Jes. if it's been a while since you've heard from them and your wedding is coming up, it might be a good idea to give them a quick call to see what's going on. just a friendly call to get things straightened out =) Hopefully they're on top of things now....

Cost effective, easy to do and gets the job done. =) They have many with tropical scenery, otherwise you can upload your own.
