  7. there's a lot to go through on the forum, but you'll find it so handy in your wedding planning. from choosing a resort to things you've never heard/thought about! happy planning & see you around!
  8. Thanks for all the positive feedback ladies! I thought about moving the one with the bold words a little off centred but got sleepy, so I'll give it another go tonight and that should hopefully be it! yay! i think this is the keeper. for those looking to try out illustrator, you can download a trial copy from Adobe - Downloads it's not that hard once you've played around with it. there are tons of tutorials on adobe.com, youtube or google. that's how i learned...lots and lots of google....
  9. Okay ladies! I'm back after a full reformat of my computer - darn Vista! (thank goodness for external hard drives!) So it looks like this font I chose does not have a Bold option, so I managed to use the Stroke effect on AI to mimick a bold. I've also moved the names and palm trees a bit. It actually looks a lot sharper as a vector but after converting to a jpg, it's not as sharp... I've also attached the first one so you can compare side by side. Better, worse, change some more? Thanks for your help ladies, this was crazy but fun and I've learned something new!
  10. what a great idea! i love that the sticker is removable so guests can use again as they wish after they're returned home. thanks for sharing!
  11. yay! my first few orders from vistaprint came today! free STDs, pens & totes! i think i might do a 'shoes optional' small lawn sign .... lol, so tempting when they put "FREE" in huge block letters on the emails to you.....

  13. Yay! I think I've now done my monogram now! Trying to teach myself Adobe Illustrator turned out to be a fun but stressful time. At one point, I was thinking I was in WAY over my head! Especially when my computer died! Stupid Vista! Wouldn't load - kept asking me to Please Wait .... a hour of waiting later, no change. stupid extended warranty didn't cover because it was a software issue. had to DIY the reformatting and reinstall everything. so glad it's over and done and I have a working computer again! funny how much we've grown to rely on electronics
  14. to all the fun! congratulations & happy planning!
