  1. I'm sending out my STD's next week and my bridesmaid said that I should not use adhesive labels (the kind you just put in your printer and print off). She said it was better to write the addresses or hire a calligrapher. What do you guys think? How much does a calligrapher cost to do addresses?
  2. This might be a strange question, but what do the chairs look like (both at the ceremony and the reception). I'm not a huge fan of chair covers. Thanks
  3. I went to one once they had a photoshopped picture of the groom and bride from when they were both 2 or 3 and they took it to a photo place and they made it look like one picture it was really cool and all the guests signed it.

  5. I am also a computer moron and I went with a website from Wedding Dresses - Wedding Cakes - Wedding Planning - Unique Wedding Ideas - By TheKnot.com because it was free and super easy to make.   6. The pics are so great! The lobster house veranda looks perfect. I read somewhere on this forum that the bridesmaids bouquets were a little small. Did you think so?? I have 5 bridesmaids and I wanted to use their bouquets as centerpieces for the head table at the reception (I saw Martha Stewart fill vases with limes and reuse the bouquets) Thanks for posting the pictures !   7. Hey, can you send me some pictures of the terrace as well [email protected] sounds nice. Also how big is the cascade pool area? I want to do my reception. I went to a wedding last weekend and they did a "horseshoe" seating layout it was really nice and intimate i loved it. But it takes 3 long rectangle tables and I will have over 50 guests so I'm wondering if theres enought room...or can you only use round tables? Thanks, Tiffany
  8. Hey, I was wondering if they rent out empty vases. I am already going to buy an additional 5 centerpieces with flowers for 80 dollars a piece. But I want to reuse my bridesmaids bouquets for the head table because I have 6 bridesmaids and their bouquets are 40 dollars each! Do they let you rent our empty vases? Or maybe if I want floating candles or something on the tables, should I bring my own vases? I'm already bringing so much so I'm trying to figure out things I can get there without getting ripped off... Thanks!
  9. I forgot ... You said it was hot at the park...do you think if I asked for umbrellas or something to block the sun they would have some? Most of my family is from Northern Canada so they would struggle in the hot sun! haha I think I will provide some fans or something as well...does anyone have any other suggestions on keeping our guests cool?   10. Dolcenotte12 you are sooo helpful! I was debatting between a couple of resorts but I think I have decided on EPC. I am dealing with Ana right now and she seems very helpful and willing to make every detail perfect. I will def. bring my own chair sashes (thanks for the advice)...I never saw the fruitlady on our options but it sounds pretty cool. What does she do?? We are doing the Mariachi band at our cocktail hour...but we are looking for some entertainment for our reception. I'm so glad I found this forum .. it is making me feel sooo much better about everything!

  12. Oh, I forgot to add, is there somewhere to get married thats not on the sand. I know that sounds odd especially since we are doing a destination wedding but I am just curious. I can't download documents, if anyone has any information I would appreciate it SOOO much! Thanks so much this forum is going to make my life so much easier.
  13. Has anyone ever gotten the additional entertainment. The cigar roller, dominican dancers, etc.? I am already getting a band for the cocktail hour but I am curious to whether it would be worth it to get extra entertainment for the reception on top of the DJ. Thanks so much!
  14. Are the restaurants air conditioned? I wanted to do a pool reception but if its too hot maybe the best bet would be have dinner inside.
  15. Thank you so much. I am a little nervous about a destination wedding because I tend to be a perfectionist. But so far all the pictures have looked nice, I will def take your advice and bring my own linens!

  18. Hey All, I am wondering if anyone has every gotten the BBQ Beach Menu? I've attached it, I got it from Anna at Excellence because I was looking for something more social rather than a sit down formal dinner. Also is anyone getting the DJ?
