  9. I have to agree with being honest with the bride. I went through a similar situation a few years back, the fit was wrong, the color was awful on me, but it was the brides favorite color so I sucked it up and smiled my way through the day. The second I could take the dress off, I did. But, before she picked that dress I went shopping with the Bride and the first dress she wanted was very low cut in front and I'm large chested, I told her "If you want all eyes on you you probably shouldn't put me in that dress. The girls won't stay in." She laughed and kept looking. The dress she chose wasn't my taste and didn't flatter my body, but it did most of the girls and this bride wanted every one to be the same. She may not budge on the dress, but she might or at least see if it's possible to get you a different style in the same color. If she's your friend and you can talk to her, and I hope you can, then kindly and supportively speak with her.
  10. Wow, amazing ideas and beautiful work. Congrats on all the details.

  19. Hey ladies! I LOVE to read. My FI gets frustrated sometimes because I could spend the entire weekend reading instead of hanging out with him. I always say, we're together, I'm just reading I'm a huge YA fan, but love fantasy and sci-fi books, spy novels anything well written. I've read my way through most of the YA series out there from Harry Potter to Twilight to Vampire Diaries and many more. As well as the adult versions of these books, or the ones that came first. Ann Rice and such. But my all-time favorites vary from the 4th HP (actually all of them) to Catcher in the Rye to Time Travelers Wife to The Devil Wears Prada... I just love to read!

    Aruba Wedding

Hey there. Congrats and welcome, I'm new too. My FI (then boyfriend) and I stayed at Rui Palace in Aruba about 2 years ago. First I LOVE Aruba, it's our first choice for a DW but it's a expensive. You MUST go to Madame Janet's. It's our all time favorite restuarant, any where EVER! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect. If you can leave the resort for dinner, please go. We actually were thinking of getting married there. The resort itself is beautiful. The food and drinks are good, the bars are good the beach is perfect. On the other hand, the pool water is kind of chilly, we went in September. Our only complaint really was the beds. The room were great with wonderful balconies, but the beds were so hard and uncomfortable. We saw older couples stealing extra blankets to put over the mattress to soften it up. That would be my only warning for you, if you like comfy beds, be prepared... Overall, it's a wonderful resort and the beach is PERFECT! Oh, but you need to get up early to save yourself a hut. Good look with all the plans. Nichole
  21. This thread is a great read for any curvy lady. The love and support is amazing especially when you're closest girl is miles and miles away. It's another place to get the support we all need and want. You ladies are fantastic, look fantastic and almost make me ready to go dress shopping (but I think I'll still wait a few months.) xoxo Nichole
