Thanks!! rdsjcr, you can get these items through the resort but it is very expensive. I have been doing some research and found that buying them myself will be cheaper. Check ebay or just google the items. Did you get anything from ana regarding flowers (besides the bouquet choices?) If so will you post them?

They turned out perfect and look a lot like one of my logos. I will post pictures as soon as I figure out. I am getting married April 17, 2010 and haven't finalized a lot of details with Ana and starting to wonder if there is anything I am forgetting! I love all the ideas on here! Thanks girls! Khara Khara! These sound so cute and a great price! Can't wait to see them:) Tiff

I am still not sure what we are doing about a photographer and the wedding is in 4 months! I think we will go with one of the resort photographers because I have family members that are professionals as well, I just didn't want them to miss out on the entire party taking pics, however they will take pictures of the two of us after the ceremony because those are the most important to me. The pictures from the wedding "Patrick & Kelly" are taken by Adventure Photos, the resorts in house photographer. I really like their pictures that I have seen on facebook of the families on the beach, I am just worried because taking family pictures and taking wedding pictures are two totally different things! I think I might just stay with Juan because he has a lot of experience with weddings, and a friend of mine just used him at Dreams Cancun and the pics were amazing. I know a lot of brides spend the majority of their budget on photos, but this has always worried me because the best photographers still might not do a great job. My sister had a very well known photographer (and very expensive photographer) shoot her wedding and the pictures turned out horrible!!! Even though all the pics on their website were amazing, hers just did not turn out well at all. I am worried about investing so much money into a photographer and they might turn out bad anyway!!! Hi Ebernard- maybe since you booked long before me you can have different photographers? But Ana told me last week my only option was the Adventure photographers (b/c I booked the ultimate pkg)...I am disappointed because the photos I've seen don't really look that great to me! If she has told anyone different please let me know!!!!

And YES - I agree with you Kym - all my decor ideas are adding up quickly...can't wait to get these bills...considering I have my heart set on pretty gold chairs that cost extra and colored tableclothes...yikes. Lilly your decorations sound beautiful!! Has Ana confirmed that we can use our own decorations for the arch or gazebo? I was wondering if there were any restriction.

I am doing the ultimate package and Ana emailed me this week and said this is the only photographer we can use.....here is a link Can't find anything on them?? Anyone know anything about them? I already have the contract though. My wedding is Nov 30 2010 and it is confirmed and I have paid the deposit. She sent my travel agent a form to fill out and she needed a copy of the front and back of my cc. We are doing the ultimate so it was $500. Ebernard you may want to call her on the phone just so you get a straight answer.
  10. Hi All- Question about centerpieces. I see someone said they are $90. Anyone have pics of what they look like? Is it possible to rent vases from DRC?

We will have about 20 extra- but will not want the cocktail hour either- so is what you are saying is that Ana said we can use that "cocktail hour" to go towards our actual reception?? Thanks. Hi Rdsjcr! I was going to do the free package thinking we would save money...but after adding everything up it was cheaper for us to do the package. We are doing the ultimate and haven't decided about the cocktail hour or not yet.

So overall I will only have to pay the full price for the last 25 guests (i know i invited too many people lol). I also confirmed with ana that over 40 people, you have to do buffet--which from the pictures i've seen is very nice...Also if you want bows or table runners, go to weddinglinensdirect.com and just buy the chair bows for 89 cents and have your friends put them on because if not it is 5.00 per chair (rip off). the chairs come wrapped in the white chair coverings for the reception with the ultimate wedding package (not sure about the love package) here is pictures from a recent wedding there:DREAMS RIVIERA CANCUN Fuschia is my color so I am going to utilize the free white table clothes and then buy the beaded table runners for each table in fuschia from the above website and lay those over each table. Thank you for this info!! This if very helpful:) I'm gonna check out weddinglinensdirect right now!!!
  14. anyone have pics of the decoration options? I am looking for table cloth colors, flower decor for the gazebo etc...

I wanted to give all our friends and fam a year's notice and also give us time to save up, so it made sense for us. Now I guess I just sit around and only plan a few little things until like a year from now. That does not sound so bad to me! I am grateful to everyone on this thread for helping me get a sense of this place and the packages and whatnot. If anyone new has any questions about basics I am glad to answer them. Happy Weddings, all! Hi Icraney! Congrats! I know how you feel about searching for resorts!! It was extremely overwhelming. It sounds like DRC is pretty nice though:) Hopefully people who get married before us will post pics and help answer some of our questions! Good luck planning.
  18. Hi All- Has anyone spoke to Ana about creating a different bouquet than what's included in the ultimate package? I want to do something more tropical and just wondering what it'll cost. Also what about bridesmaids bouquets? Thanks!
