  1. I'm planning on just wearing a strapless bra. I'm a 36 DD, sometimes DDD but I found that with my dress bodice (it has an empire waist) that they're supported enough. I may throw some Spanx on as well to help camo anything that I don't want shown.
  2. I had the same worries and concerns since I"m about the same size. What I found is that most strapless dresses are fitting in the chest and abdomen section, that when the dress truly fit me, the "ladies" weren't going anywhere. I'm wearing strapless, and after finding my dress, no longer worry about it.
  3. Jodimichelle, you might want to still check their site. They have some "Ready to go" packages. Maybe you can find something that works for you!
  4. Thanks gals. They're the natural touch flowers from wedideas. Silvina there has been amazingly helpful in helping me figure out what I need, and what I like, and then editing all of their previous arrangements to make one that's perfect for me. I can't wait to get them, but they're pretty busy.. so waiting it is. They won't be shipped until after July, most likely. Jodimichelle, I'm going to put them in a sturdy box most likely, then put them in my carry-on or checked luggage. I'm not positive yet... but where there's a will, there's a way!
  5. They look great! Just one thing to point out, it looks like you were trying to keep your last names from being public knowledge by whiting out some areas, but on the first pic of your open passport, both names are there. If you wanted that kept private, you may want to edit the picture!
  6. They look amazing! I'd love to have your template, if you don't mind sharing. I've been looking for a tri-fold brochure template with a subtle image in the background. Yours is exactly what I was looking for!
  7. I absolutely love this. My only problem is how to get it down there once I DIY it!
  8. I have gone into Wedding Overdrive today. I've finished my invitations (which were a 100% DIY project), just picked out and ordered all of the pashmina's for the confirmed guests (so far) AND ordered my flowers! Just looking at them on their site made me excited, so I'm for sure that I picked the right one for me. I've read excellent reviews about their service and product, and their prices were VERY reasonable compared to others that I researched! I was up all night getting all this down.. now it's time to crash! Haha. This is what we decided to go with: For myself and bridesmaid(s): For the men: For our mothers (we aren't sure yet if we're going to pin them, or make them the wrist-corsage thingies):
  9. Holly22: I'm assuming that your staying at one of the chain resorts that I am.... it's really frustrating when things aren't told to you upfront. I have called UVI (which is where they have all their WC's) and have been speaking with a manager there. She seems to have a bit more authority as to what she can make happen. Maybe you should do the same? I feel that their photography prices were really high, and unfortunately it's not in our budget either.. so I feel you there. I wish I had some better advice for you. Just know that you aren't alone.
  10. I love the tags you put on everything. The 'warm', 'wet', 'dry'... Congrats on a beautiful wedding!
  11. Congratulations on your engagement. Welcome to the forum... for a DW, there's no better place to be!
  12. JerseyBride, you sound like me! I have a whole list of things to start shopping for.. my bags are literally going to be exploding by the time I stuff everything into them!
  13. flipflop - The flowers look amazing. I'm in Toronto and going to Hamilton in a few weeks to visit a friend. I'll definitely be checking them out! Thanks for the pics!
  14. Hey diva, one of my bridesmaids is african-american, and says that she's going to have two run throughs before we go. Basically for the first one, to figure out what she wants (I've left all the hair and makeup up to each BM's choice) and the second one with the same girl to show her how to do it. The second appt will be the day before we leave, so hopefully the style will still be there, and she'll only have to do a few touchups. If the style falls before the wedding, she'll know how to do it too!
  15. Aww, that's so sweet of everyone that was involved. Enjoy your pampering! You deserve it for all the planning you're doing!
  16. We are planning on giving out programs at the ceremony, most likely handed out by a family member or other important person, or possibly with fans (you can find templates for all of this on these forums). We also put the information on our wedding website under "Wedding Day Activities" so that guests had a bit of a heads up. Just to reinforce everything (which I'm finding is a MUST for a DW), all of it will also be in the welcome brochure. I guess between those three things, we hope to have our bases covered. I'm sure we'll STILL have someone clueless as to what is going on. But hey! At least they can't say I didn't try!
  17. Also, to any girls planning on coming to this get-together... I have 5 or 6 bridal magazines that I no longer need. Instead of tossing them out, if anyone wants them, please let me know and I can bring them with me!
  18. I'm going to wait to vote, since all of them are good days for me. Thanks for setting this up again bikegirl!
  19. On my gosh! That's HILARIOUS! Thanks for posting it, I needed the laugh this morning!
  20. I really liked the idea of fireworks, but for $10,000, I'm sure I can get just as excited about something less expensive!
  21. I love the bags! They're so cute with the monogram on them!
  22. I think the dress is gorgeous. Your wedding, at home or away, should be about what YOU and your FI want. If you feel like the perfect bride in that dress, I say GO FOR IT!
  23. Gah! I'm so sorry that other people are dealing with the same things I am. I understand that they're busy with other weddings, but this IS their job, and my wedding is no less important than any other brides'. Ya know? My biggest gripe right now, is that whenever I ask for information, I get the same information as what is found on the site. I told my WC up front that I had read the Sandals website inside and out, and knew what was listed. If I'm asking a question, it's something that needs clarified to me, or I need further information. Obviously the paragraph from the website isn't going to answer it, or I wouldn't have had the question to begin with! I'm beginning to think that the WC's work on commission for the 'extras' that their brides pay for, because mine is SO pushy for me to buy the most expensive additions. Sandals gave me some bad information to begin with, and I thought my WC would go to bat for me. Instead, her suggestion was to pay more for something that should be free to begin with! AURGH!
