  3. I wish my feet would fit in those shoes! They're gorgeous... I'm sure you'll have no problem selling them!
  4. I KNOW I have seen someone do a first aid kit with an "Oh Sh!t" label on it. I found it absolutely hilarious, and low-key which is want I want for my wedding. I tried searching (numerous times now) and went through almost all of the threads here in the DIY sub-forum, but can't seem to find it now! Has anyone seen it, or point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

It should definitely let you know how we did it though!
  8. Which dollar store? There's a few in my area, all with different names. Was it the actual "Dollar Store", or was it a "Dollarama" or "Dollar Tree"? Thanks!

  12. I got this offer too, but didn't even think about posting it here. I'm sure all the other brides that take advantage of this will thank you!

I got all my flowers from Michael's, as well as the line for it. The employee that I talked to at the store recommended the jewelry line to string them on, as it's stronger than anything else, apparently. It was pretty expensive compared to the others (at $18 vs $6 or $7), but I figure I'm savings HUNDREDS by DIY'ing, so a few extra bucks wasn't going to make or break me.

  20. I'm in exactly the same situation! I lost my job in November, and we started wedding planning in February. We're using a small loan to cover the cost of the wedding, with hopes that FI will find a job when he graduates (in June) and we'll be able to pay back the loan right away. We've kept everything under $10,000, so it's not too steep of a task. I moved to Canada to be with him, since I'm not working anyway. All the "extras" for the wedding come from my unemployment checks, which luckily gives us enough to live on and a little extra. The time off of work has definitely given me the DIY time that I needed to stay on budget. Sometimes I think I'm lucky to be getting paid (even though I'm not working) and able to plan a less-stressful wedding!
