  1. My cousin (who is pretty much my sister since we grew up together) didnt come to my wedding either! She waited and waited and waited to tell me until I just had to come out and ASK her if she is going. Only for her to tell me that she can't because she is moving to another state THE WEEKEND AFTER MY WEDDING to be with a guy she met 6 months before and has only seen like 3 actual times! Soooooooooooooo not only did she NOT go because of this.. but she took a road trip with my aunt (who also didnt go) to Disneyland before heading to Texas. Nice.
  2. We had the DJ, but I have to admit that he wasnt that great. He played a lot of music that we didnt pick. I am not sure why that is, I gave him a VERY long list of songs.
  3. I confess that I really could care less about my job. I wish I could quit.

I brought 2 girls and my mom and we had plenty of room, but there arent many power outlets.. so if you plan on getting your hair done it might be ok... but if you are planning on bringing stuff to do your own hair I would keep in mind that there just arent that many power outlets.
  5. I am thinking of trying chicken fried steak with mushroom gravy.. I will let you know how it turns out!
  6. I agree that you should wait. They have a time line that they go by and with that much time they have to concentrate on the brides that are coming up sooner than that (which you will appriciate when that is you) I would maybe start writing down everything that you want to go over with her and get it all ready so that you dont forget anything so that when it is time to really kick it into gear you will have everything you want to start on handy
  7. I cant remember, but I THINK I posted a pic of my dress here before I got it fitted.. You can see the top details a little better here
  8. We did a version on "Lovesavers" with our monogram on it You can see them in the basket on the left hand side.. It was VERY easy! Just too a measurement of the wrapper on the mints, scaled my monogram down to size, printed them out, cut them into the size and shape of the wrapper, and then rolled and taped! Easy and cheap! And everyone loved having mints after dinner...
  9. LOL I am with you Linds! I havent stepped FOOT in the gym since we got back.. and that was over 6 weeks ago!!! And I have no reason. K doesnt get home until almost 3 hours after me. plenty of time to do that and get dinner and stuff ready.. but I have been using that time for me... but I really should be doing that at the gym

It is very secluded. . - If you're talking organized tours/excursions I highly recommend Vallarta Adventures. I have always been pleased with everything they've done (including our wedding). Puerto Vallarta Tours, Activities, Excursions, Things to Do and Expeditions, Mexico Dreams DOES let outside people on! There is a fee though.. this is the email that I got from them about that We have some day passes as well as WEdding passes for your guests not staying in property, the fees are as follow: Morning pass - $72 usd from 9 am to 7 pm Full day pass - $105 usd from 9 am to 11 pm Night pass - $53 usd from 7 pm to 1 am Wedding pass $80 usd access 45 minutes the ceremony and 45 minutes after the reception dinner with food and beverage from the event. It is true about taking a cab.. but we did several times and it was not that expensive. Vallarta Adventures is the way to go! They are who I used to planning my wedding since I got married on Las Caletas! (Reviews are in my siggy!) Quote: Originally Posted by KarenM Have you checked for quotes through a TA? Much less than the prices quoted on the website or through expedia/travelocity. Of course it depends on the time of year you're getting married & May is in the low season so that helped. The benefit of being a little secluded is that Dreams has its own private beach. There are lots of hotels in town in the hotel district or marina, but they're lined up along the beach so there are tons of people walking up & down selling stuff or offering timeshares. We had one couple decide to stay in town b/c they were opposed to the idea of an all-inclusive and they actually really regretted not staying at Dreams. They said the timeshare & other people selling stuff on the beach were so obnoxious they couldn't even enjoy the beach at their hotel so they stuck to the pool. That may or may not be something to consider if your group prefers the beach vs pools. It would be really hard for me to stay at another resort after staying at Dreams and a LOT of reason is the private beach! You have SO MUCH less traffic, hardly anyone of the beach! It is WONDERFUL!! And YES!!!!!!!!!! Check with a travel agent! Mine is AWESOME!! We got quoted over $800 PER COUPLE LEEEEEESSSSSSSSS than anywhere else and the trip was PERFECT!! His name is Chuck Joyce and he is with A Way To Go Travel! A Way To Go Travel Agency and he is AWESOME!!! He handled our whole wedding party of 32 and everything was great! His number is 336-855-0060 Quote: Originally Posted by AZKimberly Do you happen to know if May is the season for releasing turtles? How was the weather in May? You can just contact them via email to find out about availability. Puerto Vallarta Weddings, Beach Weddings, Destination Weddings in Mexico . Our wedding is actually going to be featured on their website here in the next month or 2! (YAY!) there is a lot of great info and they are SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPER helpful!! Let me know if you have anymore questions on Las Caletas! It is amazing! I would be happy to help!

  14. I have been to Jamaica and I got married in Mexico. I personally think that Mexico is better than Jamaica for a few reasons. 1. It is cheaper to travel and stay there 2. It is shorter travel time (at least from where we are) 3. We were told not to leave the resort much in Jamaica. It is pretty dangerous. And we felt the same way. When we did walk down the beach, the vendors were a lot more pushy then they seemed to be in Mexico. Now these are only my personal opinions.. but I would not rule out getting married in Mexico if you are going for "easier" We just did our "legal" ceremony here before we left! WAY WAY easier than worrying about having all of the proper stuff when you are there. We didnt tell anyone and we had the most simple ceremony possible. Pretty much we just signed the certificate and went in front of the judge. We didnt exachange rings or anything
  15. Why stop? There are so many amazing people to talk to
  16. LOL Sorry to add to your list, but they are reallllllllllly easy.. just go to any craft store that offers die cuts (or it is dye cuts..? lol) and you pick the color of paper you want and they cut them for you and all I had to pay for is the paper. Then I scaled my monogram down to fit inside the hole in the camera, glued it, and then glued the business card on the other side.
  17. Made our photshare cards on 123print and got the camera cut outs from the craft store Here is the front You can kind of see the back here
