It is your day and you should do what you guys want! Ok, I had this SAME exact problem with my dad. He told me it was "selfish" and that I shouldnt "tell people when to vacation". I flat out told him that this was our wedding and that we were going to have it when and where we wanted. And that I was NOOOOOOOOOT "telling people when to vacation" because NO ONE has to go. If they want to be there for us then they will be HAPPY to go to Mexico with us. So that was that. I never looked back. We invited EVERYONE we know. Which was nice to do because we KNEW that only a handful of people (So far 30 out of 75) would make it.. and that was just what we wanted.. but no one got "offended" that they werent invited.

Can you first give me a better idea of how many guests we are working with. The mode of transportation affects the timeline. So, for instance, if you take a Sailboat, you leave the marina at 2:30 pm…. If you take the faster boat, you leave the main marina terminal at 4:00 pm….. Ceremony, initially in both cases is at 5:30 pm – and dinner starts around 6:45pm…… With the mariachis, I would have them start probably a little after the boat arrives, give your guests a moment to use the bathroom if they need to and freshen up, then start them. So they would play before the ceremony, after the ceremony and into dinner. Does this help Ceremony then usually lasts 15 minutes….. Interesting! I got a different time line then that. I got more of a - Arrive at Las Caletas at 5:45 Wedding starts at 6:15 Cocktail hour from 6:30 to 7:30 Dinner/Dancing/ The Rest from 7:30 to 10:30 Leave at 10:30 and get back at 11:30 I wonder if the time line has changed

We went back and forth on adding that extra hour because we didn't want our grandparents or the little kids to be too tired getting back so late. but in the end it was worth it! Oh and welcome Heidi! woo hoo so many LC weddings coming up...that means lots of pictures!!!!!! No, it doesnt include the extra hour. We thought about doing that.. but with 40 people at $10 per person.. another $400 for an extra hour seemed like too much!! Does the DJ play on the way back too?

  13. Ok ladies! I need some opinions I was looking a little closer to the time line for the wedding and when you break it all down.. it doesnt seem like there is enough time. Wedding starts at 6:15 Cocktail hour from 6:30 to 7:30 Then dinner, toasts, cake cutting Then you leave by 10:30 It just doesnt seem like a lot of time Do you/ or did you feel like there was enough time?

  18. My FI picked the light beige color so I hope that it will be the color like you are saying... sandy-ish. I didnt get the swatches though.. so we will see I would suggest going in and having him measured professionally. We did that and it made ordering a lot easier. Though there were some measurements that they didnt take.. so we will see what happens. *fingers crossed*
