Sometimes they range from 40-50% off one reg price item (which is good if you are making 1 big purchase) or sometimes they give you a 30% off your entire purchase coupon (which is good for all the little things you buy at once) It's a good deal. I can't stress enough "NEVER BUY ANYTHING FULL PRICE AT MICHAELS!"

Thanks ladies. I called a friend and she's coming over tonight to take some pics of it so I can start trying to sell it. I'm just a little upset I made the wrong decision in the first place. I don't think I'll tell anyone I'm doing this and hopefully I can sell it soon.

Here's my story: Last summer I went dress shopping and found one that I absolutly LOVED. It was one of those dresses that you tell everyone about and you already call it "MY dress" It was pretty pricey so I had a dress fund and got a second job so all that money went to "my dress". This Febuary I went to sample sale at a store and found a pretty cute one for 70% off and bought it now I'm having some serious regrets I didn't buy the first one I loved. Because I bought it off the rack I have it at home and I try it on daily to see if I'll just fall in love with it one day. So far it's not happening Think I might have loved the sale more than the dress. What a stupid thing to do! I really want to go back and get the first dress now but I feel like I already bought one and I should just deal with it. Argggg. My FI actually thinks I should just go back and get the first one too but it's sooooo expensive and now I've already bought one. WHat to do? I feel really sad that I don't love my dress

There MUST be guests staying there like now so I wonder how they are coping. I wonder how often this happens because they are going to have to change EVERYTHING that says "Paradisus" on it. Big job! Kelie, I can't believe they never said anything to you while you were there!? Surely they knew. Woulda been nice to get a heads up since now it's difficult to get a hold of anyone.

Our friends showed up at our place and we said "we just need to do something before we go for dinner...we're kind of getting married right now". They just laughed and were thrilled to be part of it. We had the ceremony right there in our living room and our officiant Jackie had a great casual program and threw in stuff like "do you Kayley vow to never give Jeremy a hard time when he wants a guy's night out?" and "do you Jeremy accept that Kayley will buy herself a pair of shoes for each guy's night out?" It was really fun and we laughed lots. Then we went to the Keg downtown for dinner and told the waiter that we just got married. He brought over a bottle of champagne (on the house!) After dinner we went across the street to Spur to catch the last quarter of the Lakers game and the bartender there gave a round of free shots AND turns out she is also getting married in the Mayan on the SAME DAY as me! I don't feel married at all which is great because we really want the wedding NEXT WEEK (holy crap, I can't believe it's almost here) to be the real deal. Soooo excited for you married lady! I'm glad you don't actually feel married too because we are doing the same thing and are hoping the legal day doesn't take away from the wedding day in Mexico.

Thanks always! -Eryn We didn't really. I grew up with my grandma & grandpa and my g'ma passed away 5 years ago so the date was never a question. We were getting married on her birthday rain or shine or hurricane! The flights just happened to work out. Out of Calgary, all charter flights down south leave either Sat or Sun so a Thursday wedding just sort of worked out perfectly. You also have to make sure the resort has a day that isn't booked. Alot of places only do one wedding per day so that's something to keep in mind.

I'm just wondering about the wedding packages too. Surely, AMResorts have their own wedding packages and prices. Also, the contract we signed is Solmelia. I'm kinda bummed that we probably won't get our 3 nights stay free on our 1 year anni. LOL should be last thing I'm worried about but I want my free anniversary present!

Eryn- We sent out STD in Dec for our Oct wedding. We weren't sure where we were getting married yet but we had a date picked out. It read something similar to this: Alyssa & Adrian request the pleasure of your company in a tropical wedding celebration October twenty-first, Two thousand and ten (you could just put a month if you only knew that) Kindly provide us with email contact information so we can keep you uptodate on travel arrangements and connect you with our wedding website. Then we pretty much did everything else online through our website and Eflyers ect. We have 30 ppl booked so I guess it worked out ok for us.

oh chloe! I have to tell you that I am sitting around drinking wine tonight with 3 girlfriends and we all looked at your pics and they are amazing! LOVED your photog and your colors! haha just realized how lame my Saturday night is

Thanks Jenny. I'm not going to freak out just yet. It could be worse. I could be getting married next week or something!

Hi totally off topic but do you have pics of your wedding posted somewhere on here? I'd love to see more of what you've done with your colors. I LOVE!

FS – Beautiful Pronovias Wedding Gown!!
MayanLily replied to FutureMrs.D's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
It's beautiful and a GREAT price. I do love Pronovias. I'm sure you'll have no trouble getting ride of it. I hope other brides know what a wicked deal you are offering them. -
That does suck! Maybe we'll get your room HAHA Wendy, there are some serious planners on this website! I am definatly not that hardcore however I will probably be paying the price come September when I discover that there is a list a mile long I still need to get done. MEH! I'll worry about it in Sept. Does that family member that is taking your pics know much about photography? Maybe you can research other ttd ideas and attempt it. OR you can be sneaky sneaky and hire the photog from the resort to do one the next day and say they threw in a ttd for free! sneaky sneaky

soooooo... I was just talking with a couple other brides getting married at the same resort as me and apparently the Paradisus was bought out by someone else! Her TA told her about it and of course my TA isn't back in the office until Monday. I tried calling the resort formerly known as "Paradisus Riviera Cancun" and basically they told me nothing. "You should be contacted shortly by the new operators" They wouldn't even tell me who the new operators are! That's helpful.. stupid help line! grrrrr.

You will find so much information and wonderful ladies in here. Happy Planning!

WOW 2 days ago!? Thats great! Congrats. I tell my FI all the time I want him to do it again. (he did it a year and half ago, I think it's about time for another proposal!)
-
Alison- it's not too late at all! I'm not even doing invitations so you're one step ahead of me. Angie- I know I've said this before but you are sooooo organized. I'm feeling like I haven't really done anything yet. Also, I just realized... we might overlap at the Paradisus! I'm getting there on Sunday October 17 (2 days after your wedding!) Ok so.. so far i've bought a few things here and there for the OOT bags. Dress is bought but needs to be drycleaned. I have my hairpin, just married flipflops, placecard holders. No idea what FI wants to wear! To be honest, I'm more worried about the actual wedding stuff than the little things I need to organize before hand. I'm hoping I can do like 95% of the wedding planning when I arrive at the resort. LOL I'm probably delusional though!

Love EVERYTHING Jenny. The girls will be so excited for all their new stuff. You are very generous. If you would like a michaels coupon, I can email one to you. I think it's 40% off this week and you can just get a price adjustment for that Monogram Cake Topper. PM me with your email if you'd like it

Our JP is meeting us at our place as well so when our friends get there we're just going to say "oh yeah, we just have to take care of a little something first". We'll have our little ceremony right there in our living room, then go for dinner and drinks. Should be fun! What a great idea! I might copy actually. My best friend and her husband aren't able to come to the DW. She's having her second and is due mid-Sept. and she is actually really upset about it. She's been looking into flights to come down for 2 days on her own but I think it's crazy. She isn't going to want to leave a brand new baby. Maybe she'll feel better about it if she's there for the legal ceremony. Awesome idea Kayley Let us know how it turns out...

Welcome. I think a DW is the perfect solution and a GREAT compromise -I am a bit bias though Good Luck with everything, I'm sure BDW will help you out immensely!
