I am arriving in Cancun on a Sunday and have been told by several people that I must be in Mexico for a min. of 4 days to have a legal ceremony. Does anyone know if a Thursday would qualify? Someone told me that they only do legal ceremonies on Fridays and Saturdays...

Did you use a TA Echo? I know I really shouldn't be that concerned about getting there on the same day but I can't help it LOL I'm turning into Bridezilla and there's still 9 months to go

Also, FYI I stopped in at Cameo and Cufflinks (Dalhousie) and they are having a huge sale. Up to 70% off Feb 3-7 If anyone is looking still for a dress or bridesmaids... We could get $150 per person back from whoever books with our Signature package but we are seriously considering just starting over. I'd really like to be on the same flight as my family from Regina and also arrive and depart on the same day. Signature and AirCanada fly on different days. Not a huge deal but I really would like to be all together.

Thanks guys! I wanted to go with a TA because I didn't want the headache of answering questions and booking stuff on my own. Turns out this is more of a headache than anything! So because of all this craziness, I've had to cancel the order on my beautiful dress. I need to try to make up all this money I've lost out on I've opted to just find a white sundress instead. Thought even about looking for bridesmaid dresses in white! Any suggestions of where to go in Calgary. "Project: cheap dress" is starting today!

I had a meeting back in November with Romantic Planet and specifically told them that half of our guests would be coming from Calgary and half from Regina (where I'm from). They found a package deal for us with Signature and we were told we needed to put down deposits for everyone we "thought" would be coming. That's a hard thing to know since we hadn't even sent out the save the dates yet. We came up with the number 20 so put down $3000 to save everyone a spot. Now we find out the Signature package doesn't accomadate our Regina guests. We were told our Regina ppl will have to pay $350-400 more to come. Now of course, our Regina ppl are booking on their own which totally sucks for us because we lose our deposits. GRRRRRRR... wish I knew then what I know now. Sorry for venting but this destination planning turns out to be alot less laidback than I thought. Wish I'd gone to Vegas! LOL

Hi Kelly! We are getting married at the Paradisus in October Everyone talks about how great Perla is and now she's not there anymore... I talked to Cecilia on Friday though and she seems great too so let's hope! Are you going with one of their romance packages? I am debating since I'm finding them rather expensive for only 20 guests.
