Argggg....EVERYBODY knows a photographer but me! Soooo many people are having friends or family they know. My FI and I really need to get out more I guess We only know Flight attendants and electricians.(not much help for a wedding!)haaa I priced out Claudia Rodrigez and Del Sol in MX. CR was the 1500 but for that price, I might as well bring someone with me from here. I am meeting with 2 from calgary next week that do the wedding free but we just pay for the trip for them. Reasonable. JenV whats your cousins name... I want to check into more photographers and any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Krama thanks for your suggestion. I will go right now and try to find your FI

Is anyone bringing a Calgary Photographer with them? I was pricing some local ones and the cheapest was 1500 for only 3 hours! I might be better off paying someone to go with then we get them for the whole week...

So, are the majority of people doing the symbolic then and getting married legally at home? We are going to do that. Not just about price but also, it seems like alot less of a headache! I can just see myself, a week before the wedding, freaking out if I have all my papers in order and translated and whatnot. Plus, my FI is british. Not sure if that would be an issue but I dont want to take chances.

Not sure if this forum's ship has sailed (no one has posted in a couple months) but I'll try it out anyways. By the looks of your photos (which were stunning BTW), you probably went with the chill-out chic package. Is this right? Did you have to add on any upgrades on top of this package? When did you start booking stuff like your welcome and rehersal dinner? I haven't done anything except secured the date and am getting worried I might be behind schedule... I am really no good with all this wedding planning. I wanted to elope but reluctantly decided to do the DW thing to appease my family and fiance. I will start. I am going to order these luggage tags to send out before the trip in lieu of invitations. More practical than a piece of paper, something they can actually use. I've priced them out for us canadian brides and found this website is the best deal. I will be ordering about 30 @2.81/each prices are in CAD (huge bonus) and no over border tax (huger bonus!) LOVE the dress Mel!!!! I bought mine at C&C last week too. It is a huge relief but the day after I was having huge anxiety too. I hope that's normal. I do love mine but I kept thinking, would if this wasn't the one... I'm over it now...i think! haaahaaa

I was hoping to delegate the bow tying to a friend of mine. Wonder if the hotel allows that?? I tied about 200 for a friend once so she owes me! 30 is not so bad anyways, she can handle it. I was really liking the aqua package too Lauren but I'm not a fan of the color. Defeats the purpose of an "aqua" package I know but I just wish they had a green or orange color instead

To be honest, I'm finding this resort very very pricey compared to others we've looked at also... Jewels- $4 a bag is INSANE! I didn't know that! Boo I know you want your envelopes to look pretty but did you think about just using normal stamps and getting some great Return Address Labels? Thats what I did. You can order them for FREE at www.vistaprint.com and you get a ton! You can use them for your thank you cards after the wedding too and it's much more economical. I got 250 labels and just paid shipping. $4.10 This website will customize pretty much everything "office" related. It's greats. It was my pre-BDW obsession. I was a customizing maniac!!! LOL

SUCCESS! (well sort of!) I went in yesterday and talked to Romantic Planet. They admitted that they completely dropped the ball. It was totally miscommunication. Did not help that my TA left for a whole month either. REALLY bad timing. Anyways, they are truly trying their best to rectify everything. Won't know until the 12th how much of the money I will be getting back for the mishap but I'm crossing my fingers we get it all! ALSO... we booked our package. Done deal Oct17-24. WOOT! 4 peeps already made deposits since my email went out this morning!
