  16. Janine's blue starfish List showing bride, wedding date, dates of travel and destination: JanineA Nov. 13th 2010 (Nov 10-Nov 15 -Turks&Caicos) MrsJ2011 Jan. 2nd 2011 (Dec 31-Jan 8 - Jamaica) Hzak1203 Mar. 29 2011 (Mar 28-Apr 4 - Key West) Katelynn May 3rd 2011 (Apr 30-May 7 - Jamaica) SouthernSweetie June11th 2011 (Moon Palace, Cancun) Peterpanpixiedust June 18th, 2011 (Jun 14-Jun 26 - Cancun) AishaB Aug. 21st 2011 (Aug19-Aug22 - Cape May) Clgriffi7 Nov. 2011 (Nov 4-Nov 13 - Riviera Maya) For the ladies already on the list please be sure to make a note of who is listed after you, please stay in touch with that bride (I would advise getting a home e-mail, mailing address and a phone number if possible) so that you can pass the starfish along in time for the next bride to get it. Please remember that this tradition relies on the honor system. We trust and have faith that every bride that has chosen to participate will do so responsibly and effectively. If you are unable to fulfill the rules of passing along the starfish and the journal please do not participate and allow someone else the opportunity to. If anyone else would like to be added to my blue starfish passing list please pm me with the details of your wedding date, travel dates and your destination. I'll be more than happy to add you. Please note that Clgriffi7 will be the last person on the list. Thanks ladies!
  17. #1!! I like the bottom and I think both dresses look great on you by the way but there is a certain something about #1. Follow your gut feeling.
  18. I would love to forego this tradition if I could, as I have already experienced enough BM drama. I say skip the whole process if you can. Who cares what ppl think, its your wedding, you can do whatever you like. If your friends aren't offended then don't worry yourself.
  19. Congrats and welcome to the forum, fellow T&C bride. Happy planning!
  20. Hi there, welcome to the forum. I have been to quite a few traditional Indian weddings.....in Trinidad & Tobago where I grew up. Whether planners were used for the planning process I would say in most of them know. Trinidad & Tobago has quite a large Indian population, the weddings I attended were all those of friends and as far as I know their parents (mom, sisters, aunts) helped in the planning process. If you have any questions specific to T&T feel free to ask away. Congrats and happy planning!
  21. I agree you should probably avoid all the drama by just using someone else. There are quite a few pan groups in and around Brooklyn....there is one a block from my cousin's house in brooklyn. GL!
  22. I try to take it off when I am doing any cleaning around the house or I'm in the shower. Unfortunately I take it off most days because I am a massage therapist and so I simply can't work with it on. Good question though, I often feel bad because during the day time mine is locked away in the safe and at night I don't put it on to sleep. I've always wondered how much other ladies take theirs off.
