  1. I can finally say yes... 3 weeks since the wedding and my first workout... 30 min on the elliptial, need to do more but thought that was a safe first day back.
  2. here's a link to my photos. I don't have them yet, but this is what my photographer posted on her website. I really love them. they were wonderful to work with. under the wedding tab, wendy and mark. www.jamaicanphotography.com
  3. Thanks for asking, it was great, busy friday afternoon but everything done on time and ready for our guests. We ended up getting a lot of pumpkins so the few kids that came, we let them carve pumpkins, with parental guidance. After it was over, some neighbors came back over and we started a fire in our pit so the partying went on from 1-11, I changed out of the dress though when it was officially over. As much as I love the dress, I was ready to get into some jeans and relax a little. I think they just stayed one night, not sure how that worked (I seem to remember 3 day mininum); but they live/work in Kingston so you may want to check about the room (they will need to stay somewhere and not travel for 4h)... I hate having unexpected things happen last minute.
  4. It may sound cheesy but try to relax and enjoy your day. My favorite part of the day was waking up and chilling by the pool by myself for an hour (before my family found me) and thinking about how happy I was and that I was about to marry my soul mate. Other than that, make a list and try not to forget anything. Nicole will take care of all the details when you meet her, don't stress about it too much.
  5. Hey guys, just in case you wanted some pics (don't we all love them); my pro pics were posted to my photog's website. wedding tab, wendy & mark. I am thrilled with them. Marcia Roberts did them. http://www.jamaicanphotography.com/
  6. eholt, she and Chris stayed at the resort so no vendor fee. she assumed I was paying for the room but never told me. it was a brief panic attack for me (our first day in Jamaica), but we talked and she agreed to pay since we didn't discuss it before hand.
  7. Cam, enjoy it. it will fly by. I need to find a new hobby, however I just had the thrill of the wedding last night right before bedtime and our pics are on the photogs website, OMG they are great. I so understand how you feel about the wedding. Try to relax at night, I had lists on my iphone that I continually updated. Anyway have fun with it; it will be here before you know it.
  8. Hey BDW'ers. My preview pics were posted last night. I truly love them, so does hubby. Can't wait to get the CD's!! we are the first one listed at present. check them out if you're interested! http://www.jamaicanphotography.com/
  9. Hi, I have to concur with queen! I don't have my CD's yet, but my pics were just posted on our her website yesterday. They are fantastic. Check them out if you want. There is no comparison between the pics they took versus our snapshots from guests. Wendy and Mark. http://www.jamaicanphotography.com/
  10. So I just checked Marcia's website and our pics are up ladies. They are fabulous. I can't wait to get the CD's so I can plaster them all over the house!!!! http://www.jamaicanphotography.com/ weddings, wendy and mark.
  11. Welcome back!! So nice to meet you and your hubby. I did post a pic of your wedding as a sneak peak (along with one of mine). It was beautiful!! Congrats again.
  12. We had certified copies of our divorce decrees and birth certificates but this wasn't what was needed, so then I took the copies to a notary to have it notarized. Really quite easy, easier than getting certified copies that weren't even needed! certified does not equal notarized, glad I asked before sending everything to Jamaica.
  13. Hey Jules, no problem. glad to be able to help. I have all this extra time now that the wedding is finished and I haven't decided how to fill it so still hanging around bdw. We didn't do a private reception, we had a long table and then a cake table set up along the outside wall. So there were other people around us, 2 or 3 tables of couples/families. We didn't do a dancefloor because of the small group. There was no extra charge (outside the wedding charge and the extra person charge... wedding price includes 8 people total, we had 9). Let me know if you have any more questions.
  14. Beautiful pic, sorry you had a rough start to your week but glad it got better
  15. Tina, I put my review in the new resort section, I have a section about the restaurants. All are good, the specialty resorts are slow; expect at least 1.5 hours. The Japanese and Cajun (creole, or something similar) are at the Beach resort, a quick walk or an even quicker golf cart ride. Our wedding dinner (not private, just at the restaurant) was at Aunt Ruby's steakhouse, the food was good but the service was very poor (I think we had an inexperienced server; or he just had a bad night)--I don't think that was typical. The Mexican and the Gourmet were very good. The buffet was actually really good, we had octapus in a seafood stew, curried goat, pasta station; oxtail stew. Every night they had a cheese bar with quite a few varieties of cheese in addition to all the dinner options. Below is my review: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/products/iberostar-rose-hall-suites-all-inclusive-montego-bay-jamaica
  16. Camilla, the evening show that the entertainment crew does. I saw at least 3 different brides in their dresses, maybe 4, I can't remember if I saw Jenn or not at the evening show which starts about 9:30, sometimes its audience participation and sometimes not. We ended up with 2 bottles of rum for participating. We brought the pink chair bows (so did Jenn). Iberostar has white, silver and maybe gold. I had planned to use theirs but our chair bows arrived for our AHR before we left so we took a package. The flower decorated huppa was not my wedding but they were fresh flowers. Let me know if you have any more questions.
  17. Coursage was $20, Dad's Bout. was $18 and $24 for 3 hair flowers (but I received 5 white orchids). Same price as listed on the sheet.
  18. Cam, we had dinner (group of 9) at the Steakhouse, Gourmet, Japanese, Mexican and Buffet and always had square/rectangular tables. I didn't see round tables at any of those restaurants. Hi guys, just posted my review of the suites (and my planning journal, last week). I wasn't able to upload pics to the review so let me know if you need anything, I'll help where I can.
