    I may have the dissenting opinion here but my FI went shopping with me and then he went back the next day (along with my mom) to see the top 2 choices. He could tell when I tried on "the dress" that it was mine even before I did. I wanted to wear it home but alas I'll wait the 3 months to get it.

    I saw an Aqueduct wedding (from our balcony) while there this summer. It looked beautiful. The resort is quite nice, as I recall, they have a couple of gazebos for weddings as well, one by the beach and one in a garden setting. I probably have pics. IF you want I can email them to you. we opted for the iberostar suites very close by (mainly because the beach at RH Hilton was rocky and not enjoyable which is very important for my FI). I haven't figured out how to post pics yet (I'm a newbie too).

    nashidab, I'm waiting on a return email, I'm trying to book a date in October and haven't heard back from the WC (at the suites). I may end up calling bc sometimes lack patience.

    Secrets Maroma Beach is wonderful. We were there when the resort opened in 2008. The staff was great. I have lots of pics but I haven't managed to upload pics yet (just joined this week). They have a great gazebo for weddings as I remember. Congrats and have fun planning.

    Congrats Stina. I love the pockets too... can stash lip gloss and essentials for the day. I saw some great Stuart Weitzman white wedges online, but haven't found them anywhere to try on. Did you get your dress or were they ordering it. They offered me the store dress but I wanted a new one (without other peoples sweat on it

    I love the shoes and the dress separately but not together. I saw some white Stuart Weitzman wedges that I'm considering so I dont sink into the sand.

    Welcome to the site and good luck. I think we have decided on Jamaica, fewer requirements (blood tests) and translation of documents to Spanish. Lots of resorts there, our fave hotel is the iberostar rose hall suites but we haven't booked yet, waiting for avail dates and school calendar for my niece. Have fun planning.

    Stina76. I tried that dress on yesterday and LOVED it. I'm taking my Mom back today to see it (and purchase it). I'd love to wear heels (I almost always do) but I know they will sink into the sand. Flip flop/sandals seem too casual. Can't wait to go back and try it on today.

    Hi I'm Wendy. I'm getting married this Fall in Jamaica. I'm planning for it to be at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites but my family would prefer I do it in Florida, so locale hasn't been finalized. I'm glad to find this site, its been very useful already.
