Mine was stored in the first class closet one leg of the journey but on the second leg, it was folded in the coat closet. We were travelling along with all the 10/10/10 brides and had 3 on one flight and 4 or 5 on the second. The flight attendants were happy to assist but were running out of room. I had mine steamed at the resort and it was perfect. I put it a checked bag that had my oot bags and fillers for the trip home and was thrilled not to carry around 2 dresses (wedding and ttd, in one dress bag).

Can I see past brides' albums with Digipix?
wendyjd replied to starrysim's topic in Jamaica Wedding Vendors
Marcia did our wedding and we were thrilled. On top of wonderful pics we had our disks in less than a month with over 2000 images (wedding and ttd). here is a link to the pics i uploaded to FB if that helps. http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=250776&id=697919221&l=c0a7f4fb5c -
Kristy, I was married last fall (October) at Iberostar Suites and it was amazing. One of the biggest pluses was that each Iberostar resort only does one wedding a day so you get to be the only bride that day. It was a great resort, we had a very small wedding (only 9 of us) but everyone made us feel great, even the other guests. here is a link to my thread for pics (and i HIGHLY recommend Marcia whereever you choose). I also have a planning thread in that section. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/65260/wendy-s-pro-wedding-and-ttd-pics-by-marcia-roberts

Windy Jamaica and a veil
wendyjd replied to tross84's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
I opted against one, I didn't want one really anyway but it was quite windy at our wedding. My hair was all over the place and I had it sprayed pretty firm so I can only imagine a veil would have been difficult. However if you really want one, get it and make your decision on your wedding day, it may not be windy your special day, or go with a birdcage veil, I think they are pretty safe for the wind. -

check out etsy. what about this one?? good luck!! -
You leave with a marriage license and I believe we are supposed to get an "official" copy in about 3 months, however we were married in October and we haven't received anything, but the copy we brought home was sufficient to get my husband added to my insurance policy/etc (I didn't change my name but I do work for fed govt and it was sufficient for HR folks).

Jules, I found this in the traditions section, searched for wedding vows. it was very helpful. I will love you as deeply as the ocean, as steadily as the waves, as full of life as the world below the surface and as refreshingly as a plunge into cool waters on a hot summer day. We’ll live a life of adventure, we’ll travel the world, and we’ll dive into the future starting right here, right now… I would go to the ends of the earth to take you as my husband…and as everyone here can attest, it seems we have!! Now, as we stand at the ocean’s edge, I am saying yes to our promises to love one another forever, to be faithful always, to be partners and friends. To love is nothing To be loved is something To love & be loved is everything I promise to love you, comfort and encourage you, be open and honest with you, and stay with you as long as we both shall live.

Tina, we had our reception/dinner at Aunt Ruby's. Unfortunately we did not go to Calabash the whole time we were there. The food was good at Aunt Ruby's but we had really bad service that night. It was quite unfortunate since it was our wedding, but we went with the flow and just left after dinner before dessert was served. We went to the lobby bar and hung out with our guests. My wedding was very small, only 9 people total so we did NOT rent out anything for a private event, just a large table for dinner and a cake table adjacent. I think the poor service was due to an inexperienced server, because it was the ONLY time we had any problems at all. The gourmet restaurant was very nice and would be a good option if I had to do it again, however it depends on your guests, a few were picky eaters and did not enjoy their meal that night (but again, they just went to the buffet and had a great meal after we finished).

Our wedding was only 9 people, I thought we'd have 15-25 so I was disappointed at first. The only person who I truly wanted there that wasn't was my brother, however he chose not to come bc he doesn't like to fly. His daughter and fiance came even though he didn't. The whole week and the wedding turned out wonderful and we were able to spend time with everyone, even have dinner together every night. Out OOT bag content were much better, we even found really inexpensive mp3 players which had a tropical playlist for sunning. Really dont stress the guest lists the most important people will be there and like everyone else said, you will be married to the love of your life.

smfs---thanks, I sent you a pm, but I really love my necklace; I've worn it several times since the wedding. I found it at TJMaxx and found similar ones on etsy. sascolo--thanks! islandgirl910--found them under general party invites, try limiting them to 6x9 to make it a more manageable search! have fun planning everyone, it will be over before you know it!!!

this is a great list. here is my most recent adult realization...I finally became an adult last year (in my mind) because I bought a 4 door car. All my 15+ years of driving I have had sports car/coupes and I purchased a 4 door car. I still feel like I'm driving a boat but it is convenient when family need a ride.

Nicole recommended 4 when I said I wanted sunset pics. We got married in October and it was rainy around 4pm some days the week we were there but we were very fortunate with NO rain on our day. The ceremony, including signing the documents and sand ceremony took about 30 min. After that we took pics and our guests were in many of them, the slideshow was the ones the photographer picked, she sent us about 2500 images on disks. I have created 2 photobooks and about to make a 3rd for different guests/families at the wedding. They did watch for some of them, they may have stopped by the bar for a drink too then we went to dinner at 6 or 6:30 (first seating). We bought sand at hobby lobby (or maybe michaels) and brought the vase, Nicole got the bottles for us (for a Jamaican flair--and 2 pieces of glass not to carry around). Oh, and thanks for the compliment Kim, we put our sand in a checked bag and it was pretty well mixed when we got home so we used the leftover sand and repoured it (I think we did it on our 1mo anniversary). I really didn't want it my carry on bag, we already had enough stuff to lug around the airport. Only we will ever know the difference. I have the mixed sand if I can come up with a great craft project I will use it. Let me know if I can help!!

Misee17, I had fuschia organza and I thought it looked great, I added fuschia organza fabric to the huppa for the ceremony and they matched well. I'll look for pics at home, I'm at work presently. Both look good, just a personal preference. Bridetwobe, our ceremony was scheduled to start at 4 but the minister was late so we started about 4:15-4:30. It was a very windy day but it the wind was refreshing and other than some odd photos of my hair, it was wonderful. we didn't do videography but a link to my photographers website is below if you want to see pics: wendy and mark, Iberostar under the wedding tab. www.jamaicanphotography.com

I'm doing my own wedding day makeup....
wendyjd replied to bride2be31011's topic in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
I did my own makeup and my mom did my hair. I did a trial at Sephora and after 3 different looks which really didn't like, I finally said okay so I could get out. I tried make up forever and I really like it, still wearing it 3 months later. Make sure to get a good primer to hold everything in place. I am a MAC girl, have worn it forever so went in for a trial there and went with their look instead (just unsing MUFE foundation). I did a couple of trials at home and I was very pleased with the outcome. I looked like me but better which was my desired look (note "made up" like I felt at Sephora). MAC will give you a list of everything and where to put it which is useful. so my advice, get a couple of trials and make sure to do it at home. Good luck.
